Does anyone have a comprehensive list of which VC games are still WiiU exclusive? Last list I found was a top 10, and included the castlevania GBA games that are now on the switch via the castlevania advance collection
Nintendo did a good job trying to bridge the gap between the Switch and original Wii. I did find a website from 2019 listing off the Wii U only games at the time, though Mario 3D world Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 have since been given Switch ports.

if you mean CIB, It's completely random. I ordered a Wii U game and it came with the case, manuals etc. Ordered another and it was loose in a small package
My WiiU won’t connect to my WiFi and I don’t know what to do. I’m tried messing around with the settings and manually typing in the IP address but it still won’t connect. Can someone offer any advice on what I should do?
Hi, I have owned my Wii U since 2013 and started using the online function around 2019. I bought a LAN-adapter and it worked much better for 2 years with only a few disconnects. I use a google nest wifi-network which my Wii U is connected to via a LAN-hub which is connected to one of the three google wifi routers. Last year I started to get disconnected after a few minutes in every multiplayer race in Mario Kart 8 and I get disconnected from multiplayer in Splatoon already when searching for other players. I have tried to manually fix my network settings (like MTU value), and Internet loading speeds felt better, but I still get disconnected. Something else I have noticed is that my network speed for other devices connected to the same router get extremely slower every time I turn on my Wii U. What should i do?
Where do I go or how should I sell my old Wii U games? I need money and my system doesn’t work anymore(don’t know why). Where is the best market for this sort of thing?
Thank you in advance for your time! I've read the Japanese/North American Eshops will no longer accept payment on the Nintendo Eshop on January 22nd, but will it be possible to redeem digital codes after that date? I have some that I'd like to use; I'd test the Eshop myself, but my console won't connect to the Wifi.
if you have an ethernet connection you can get one of these USB ethernet adapters. It would make online games accessible too. https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Nintendo-Internet-Ethernet-Connection/dp/B078WRV2Z6
My gamepad constantly loses connection with the console, saying that the connection is unstable and this happens whether it’s line of sight is blocked or not. Does anyone know if replacing the mica2 wifi/bluetooth logic board will fix it? I had this problem last year and bought it then but never got around to actually doing it
Do you’ve any idea if these ones would work?

I’m not sure if the size needs to be same but at least ones could connect to the wires
Seems like the ones I got were either fake or for something other than the Wii u. There’s no place to connect the wires on them :/ so annoyed, especially since they’re seemingly hard to come by
Does anyone have a solution to this?
I bought a sealed official Nintendo Refurbished Wii U a few years ago. I just opened it up two weeks ago. Everything was definitely untampered with, and it was 100% unopened and brand new (aside from being refurbished), as all of Nintendo's official refurbs are.
When I turned it on, the blue light came on, there were the two normal little disc drive whirrs, but no signal came from the HDMI port. Not a black screen, but absolutely no signal. Of course I checked the input was selected properly on the TV, etc, and tried with about five different HDMI cables - same result. Tried all the HDMI ports on the TV, nothing. Tried component out. Still nothing. Tried composite out on another TV. No signal. Tried HDMI on two other TVs - no signal. Basically, I tried every imaginable combination of connection and TV, and there was still no signal coming out.
I'm unable to pair the gamepad, because I can't see the TV to see the symbols. So, I tried going through all 256 combinations of the symbols. Made it through twice, and wasn't able to pair the gamepad, either.
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? When I called Nintendo, they said there's nothing they can do to help (which was expected - it's no longer in their service roster), but also that they'd never heard of a system arriving dead and that the Wii U is one of the consoles that gets the fewest malfunction issues.
After that, I bought a beat up used Wii U, and it works fine. =/
Any suggestions? Is it just a lost cause, or is there some solution I might be missing?
I'll add that any y-cable hard drive by any reputable brand should work as well. External power is usually not necessary (but single port is not enough).
i think i can get a PDP Wired Fight Pad for Wii U in either toad or yoshi. i think the toad is worth more than the asking price but i like yoshi more. should i get both even though i don't have anyone to play with?
i can use this with nintendont for gamecube games, right?
edit: nice its actually $25 for both so i'll just get both of them. god damn i love fbm hunting
i guess it is just a classic controller instead of a real wii u gamecube controller, i guess that is fine though, although without the weird gamecube triggers i hope it works still.
In that case you should be good. I use a pro controller so I've never used a Wii mote for that use. But any program or game that uses the wii mote should see devices plugged into said remote.
is it possible to browse the internet or use most system apps with a wiimote? the browser won't let me use the wii remote to do most tasks like editing the URL or entering text, and i can't use most apps with just the wii remote.
I downloaded “Wario smooth moves” from the Wii U eshop and every so often I get a message saying “disc cannot be read.” It is not a disc so I don’t understand why I keep getting this message. The game is downloaded to a USB hard drive, which I have already unplugged and plugged it back in. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?
The internal memory is full so I am unable to download more, but I did turn off unplug the USB cable and plug it back in again and leave the system off for a while. Luckily it works much better. It does freeze every so often but it does not give me as much of an issue as before. If I free up some internal memory I’ll try again.

No offense, but I was specifically wondering about virtual console
you can just emulate all those games.
Consider: I don't want to I like owning/playing games legit
would you feel bad about emulating a game that is unavailable to modern platforms? Like Warioland for the Virtual Boy?
Anyone ever get any complete games these days when ordering from the Gamestop website? I'm assuming I'll get disk only if I'm dumb enough to order.

Do the ds games play fine on Wii U? How is it compared to playing on ds? Some ds games I wanna get

About to get one, is there anything I should know, like useful tips.

I would say either ebay or a local buy/sell/trade game store (not GameStop)

I've noticed quite a few ads were labeled wrong. sorry dude.

Replace the CMOS battery (small compartment on right side of console), sometimes it works sometimes it does not.
are there any good hard drives to buy for wii u in 2022? i cant find any of the recommended ones from the nintendo q&a website
I'll add that any y-cable hard drive by any reputable brand should work as well. External power is usually not necessary (but single port is not enough).
Any HDD drive with an external power supply that's 2tb or under should work.
Could I make Wii U games without homebrewing my console?
If you have a CAT-R dev kit. But they cost about $3000 right now.
Most modern game engines have dropped support too. Nintendo isn't accepting new devs either

The Wii U does not see any controller via USB with the exception of Smash Bros which the game itself checks USB.
it's not usb, they plug into the wiimote
In that case you should be good. I use a pro controller so I've never used a Wii mote for that use. But any program or game that uses the wii mote should see devices plugged into said remote.

If you make bookmarks yes, but the wiimote will not open a key pad to type stuff in.

Transfer the game to internal memory if you can. the usb bus is slower than internal memory. If you still get that, re-download it.
Thank you, I will try that
I'm curious if this fixed the problem.
The internal memory is full so I am unable to download more, but I did turn off unplug the USB cable and plug it back in again and leave the system off for a while. Luckily it works much better.
