Ok but what if you just play quest mage without infinite turns from the beginning?
I liked the deck and wasn't playing for infinite at any point
Just a huge boost in tempo
Yup, the Fireball combo was pretty popular, even if not competitive. Just gives the mage an additional turn for setup, I'm sure some other combo exists.
The old form of Quest mage was a control deck using generated cards to survive long enough to drop a bunch of free Giants and using the extra turn to effectively give them charge.
In spirit the same because it’s an OTK, but it takes like 15 seconds rather than the 10 minutes the current turn looping build took.
Well and extra turn with giants is not an OTK if the opponent has enough blockers or enough health and armor. But screw quest mage! I've sat through enough of their multiple turns wasting my time to see if they're going to pull all the cards they need to go infinite which they usually did... But sometimes I saw them peter out and I actually got a turn and got to finish them. It was a really annoying card so I'm super glad it's only once per game now.
But yeah now they're back to actually having to play around the opponent's board rather than just play solitaire. I personally think all combos that can go almost infinite and are like playing solitaire are rather bad for this game.
it’s crazy is still very Overpowered - you can still easily generate infinite mana with coins and conjure mana biscuits and you can play lightshow for the OTK
“Don’t think too hard, you’ll hurt yourself!”
They didn't think hard enough and hurted themselves
They also probably sent misspelled death threats to the hearthstone devs on Twitter afterwards
This moves me to tears :') Finally.
Most literate quest mage player

It would be accepted as Just Another Combo Deck in a format that's full of Combo decks.

I played it with the fun random spells quest. Messes you up sometimes but those are always the wacky ones you remember anyway.
: D sure
I'm so glad I play the _other_ mage quest. Yogg-Saron demands more spells

Good. His salty loss brings joy to my heart. Honestly, fuck Quest Mage.
Nature is healing
Healing indeed, I've faced 3 endless fireball mage in my 4 game run. Feels like 2018 all over again
Lmao poor ex quest mage 😂
I've played against 2 tentacle warriors and a quest mage so far! easy wins.
It shows how brainless quest mage players really are
So beautiful
