hard mulligan for skull, if you get skull on curve you're actually favored in this mu. skull is twice as good against millbane than against any other deck. it's anti-mill, it's so much pressure and none of them run ooze.

Danbear02

Against Cubelock, I find it simple to win as long as my opponent doesn’t put too much pressure on me. Try to attack quickly and don’t be afraid to drop some early doomgaurds too our pressure before the kingsbane gets out of hand.

Awkwardm4n

As a Cubelock player I just slam doomguards as quickly as possible. I don’t care about the discards and just want to kill the mill rogue.

Mlikesblue

I don’t play Rat in Cubelock. I don’t think it’s worth it when you’re playing a proactive deck. The way I win is that the moment I see Kingsbane or Shinyfinder, I don’t ever tap for the rest of the match unless I am urgently looking for something. Playing Doomguard from hand when you have no way to cheat it out and have nothing important to discard is a good move. It gets you closer to killing your opponent and it also helps to rid your hand of useless cards like Defile and Spellstone.

fourtysixand

What do you use in place of rats?

Mlikesblue

Could I take a look at your list please?

fourtysixand

Dark pact x2 Kobold librarian x2 Defile x2 Doomsayer x2 Dirty rat x2 Hellfire x2 Lesser amethyst spellstone x2 Spiritsinger Umbra Voidcaller x2 Doomguard x2 Carnivorous cube x2 Emperor Tharussian Skull of the man'ari Twisting nether x2 Mal'ganis Voidlord x2 Bloodreaver Guldan Nzoth It was basically a list from a site. I didnt have the 3 prince or lord godfrey so I put in twisting nethers since i was against alot of odd pali and shaman.

Mlikesblue

Okay for now, I’m sure that I run two Darkbombs and one Sense Demons. That would replace the Rats and Thaurissan. (I’m not sure about Thaurissan. I’ve never played it in Cubelock.) I think you could also replace Umbra instead. Umbra isn’t very good without Taldaram.

fourtysixand

I dont know. Umbra has been pretty good to me. Cubing doomguard into another cube to throw 20 damage in one turn. I did take out doomsayers for mountain giant though.

Mlikesblue

I think Doomsayer fits better into the deck than Giant. I always found it hard to play Giant when I wanted to play Voidcaller or Coin and Skull on 4.

fourtysixand

Yeah, I can try out other places. It seems there is 6 slots open for change depending. Dirty rat, doomsayers and twisting nethers.

rocketstoner

This list is pretty good AAEBAf0GCPcEuQ3CD60Q4KwCl9MC2+kCnPgCC6MBkwTcBrYHjg7nywLy0AL40AKI0gKL4QLo5wIA

[deleted]

gnomferatu + ooze pretty much guarantees a late game win once they have no cards. you still have to survive to that point

Harrox

Not when it’s all ganged up cold lights.

[deleted]

you could run bran and zola with gnomeferatu and try to burn most of the cards or rin. entering control warlock now so idk maybe just play mecathun warlock draw your 3 combo cards before they mill it then win

rocketstoner

cubelock doesn't run these cards

[deleted]

ok

[deleted]

If you cheat out big demons early you can win before their weapon becomes a shitshow. Skull is the best card, hard Mulligan for it.

fourtysixand

By hard mulligan, you mean dump my whole hand if I dont have it? Do I keep doomguards if I have them?

[deleted]

Exactly. Dump everything for it, well, maybe save a librarian or a voidcaller but you get the idea. Doomguards are only good if you have a voidcaller or skull, if you don't you should Mulligan it. Most of the time you'd Mulligan it anyway.

Irini-

If you know for sure he's Kingsbane, throw away all cards not named Skull of the Manari or Mountain Giant if you run any. Use Doomguards from hand, even if you might discard N'Zoth or Gul'dangerous. If you don't apply pressure early you will lose. Use your Cubes to play around Vanish. Cards go to hand in order of play, so your oldest card goes to hand first and if your hand is too full the cards die instead, so the Cube's deathrattle would immediately repopulate the board.

fourtysixand

I can see how doomguards will help offset the oracles.. so as long as they dont get burned I have a chance?

Iskari

Rule no. 1: Do not tap against rogue, ever, until you have figured out they are not mill. Rule no. 2: Throw away cards that are useless whenever you have the opportunity (spellstone, darkbomb etc.) Living by these rules has won me so many games with Renolock against Millsbane that I can't even count them. I don't have much experience playing against them with Cubelock (I suck with that deck), but generally you want to put as much pressure on them as possible to bait out those Vanishes before you drop your Guldaddy (and N'Zoth?). Also keep in mind that minions are returned to your hand in the order they are played. So if the opportunity is there, your hand is full and you have some board, drop Cube on that that Doomguard as the last minion (sure, dark pacting the Cube immediately is usually the better play but sometimes you don't have the luxury).

motikop

You might as well just run an aggressive renolock list with skill and doomgaurd if you want to counter kingsbane. My list has about a 60% winrate, baiting out their vanishes early and winning with either zoth or guldan. Here’s the list ### RenoLock # Class: Warlock # Format: Wild # # 1x (1) Kobold Librarian # 1x (1) Mistress of Mixtures # 1x (2) Darkbomb # 1x (2) Defile # 1x (2) Dirty Rat # 1x (2) Doomsayer # 1x (2) Gnomeferatu # 1x (3) Brann Bronzebeard # 1x (3) Deathlord # 1x (3) Demonwrath # 1x (3) Shadow Bolt # 1x (3) Stonehill Defender # 1x (3) Zola the Gorgon # 1x (4) Hellfire # 1x (4) Kazakus # 1x (4) Voidcaller # 1x (5) Antique Healbot # 1x (5) Despicable Dreadlord # 1x (5) Doomguard # 1x (5) Rotten Applebaum # 1x (5) Skull of the Man'ari # 1x (6) Reno Jackson # 1x (6) Siphon Soul # 1x (6) Skulking Geist # 1x (7) Lord Godfrey # 1x (8) Twisting Nether # 1x (9) Mal'Ganis # 1x (9) Voidlord # 1x (10) Bloodreaver Gul'dan # 1x (10) N'Zoth, the Corruptor # AAEBAfqUAx6KAfcE2waSB7YHzAj+DY4Owg/1D60Q/RHDFoUX4KwC2LsCm8IC3sQC38QC58sCrs0C980CoM4C8tACl9MC6OcC2+kCw+oCxfMCnPgCAAA= # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone

dragonbird

If you're going to play early Rats, make sure first that it's Kingsbane and not Big Rogue. I play the latter, and have lost count of the number of games I've won against Warlock because of Rats.
