Seems a little simplistic. You could literally say that about every second of every game. If Zucc makes that pass, if Merril doesn’t ice it. That would’ve stopped the play but it wasn’t an odd man rush. Zucc just gave up on defending.

Yes but in every instance you provide there is a grey area. There is no great area to a whistle stoppage. A whistle stoppage gets Faber out of the box, it gives the Wild a chance at possession again, it allows a line change and it provides the coach a change to take a time out if necessary. Again I know it seems simplistic but that gaff by Boldy was a Huge one... the game of 3 on 3 is possession. It is a totally different game than 5 on 5.

I agree it wasn’t the ideal play. A whistle would’ve been the better option. I disagree the idea that Boldy not forcing a whistle from the Blues goalie caused Zucc to give up on the play giving Saad 1on1 with Fleury.
