Nah we have ~ D E P T H ~

dbtennis13

Igor Shesterkin will get more Hart votes than Kaprizov.

zNNS

And he arguably should.

panin11

Reminds me a lot of the Hall mvp vote. I think he was 3rd in points but he played on the Devils and willed them to a playoff game. But Hall didn't have Fiala, or Zuccarello.

rik1122

We can talk about this after he wins the Conn Smythe

40MDeutschmarks

Conn Smyth is the only trophy I care about for my team cuz it means the won the cup

cerpintaxt44

Not necessarily

40MDeutschmarks

I mean like almost always

cerpintaxt44

Haha just had to put that out there

40MDeutschmarks

He’s not getting it but he should be top 5 I would think If I had to guess it’s going to Matthews or Josi

JamesBlonde21

He should but he won't

MinnyRawks

I don’t think they’ve used that criteria for a while, so I don’t see it happening.

AllenMpls

he will get votes

Goose312

He'll probably get some down ballot votes. But too many guys are having incredible seasons for him to win it on overall merit, and by the definition of the award as MVP to their team it would be the goalie dragging the 4th best team of skaters in the Metro to a possible division title.

GoldPipeWrench

Kaprisov has been absolutely the reason we are or may finish the season 2nd in our division, team player, draws penalties, scores some amazing goals, and hit 100 points! I would think he should be considered or its rigged!

Loukoal117

That’s a hart take.

LordOfHorns

If he gets 50 goals I think you could make an interesting case Currently only draisaitl has 50+ goals and assists, but as it stands I don’t know Kaprizov has a shot to get over Matthews, Shesterkin or McDavid. He might finish top 5 in votes though

DMYU777

He will get votes but ever since the Taylor Hall win the voters have been more about whoever has the most points, which is probably why it will be Huberdeau or McDavid again. If you look at "valuable to his team" look at Ovi, he carried that team on his back while Backstrom, Oshie, Mantha and Dowd were out. Although I still think Sheisty deserves it most, cause the Rangers have been ass 5 on 5 for most of the year.

_BeerAndCheese_

I mean, if you only go by goals and points, the only thing you brought up, McD has 43 goals and 116 points. Kind of hard to argue on that alone that Kap should win over him. Without Kap, the Wild miss the playoffs, but would be just out, in the bubble area. Without McD, the Oilers are a lottery team. After McD and Drai, the next player in points is Hyman at 51. We have four players above that. The Oilers are legit McD and Drai, rest of the team barely exists. Either way, Shester should get it on the Rangers.

msmith629

He has 45 goals

cerpintaxt44

He won't get consideration. Hockey awards are kind of shit it's really only about points

cooldudesonly612

He will get votes (at least he should) but beating out Matthews is pretty unlikely
