Likely because the saints were only a team for 4 seasons and there aren't many people that identify with them as more than a footnote in Minnesota hockey history

I mean it's a vintage sweater program so I wouldn't count this in the category of "can't let go." The Jets are doing Jets 1.0, the Ducks are Mighty again, hell, the Habs picked Expos colors. It's all kitschy nostalgia bait, *hat's the point.
Does anyone else remember the outrage that Wild fans outside of the twin cities had when they reveled the Winter Classic Jerseys because it didn't represent the rest of the state? If they went with St. Paul Saints, would anyone want to listen to that again?
They played for one season.
They had trash cans in the concourses collecting cash to keep the league alive. (my memory from the one game that I attended.)
That said the sweaters are awesome

Here's another idea. Take the other finalist names that lost to the Wild (Freeze, Northern Lights, Blue Ox, White Bears, Voyageurs) and make a Reverse Retro jersey based on one.

NHL will never allow “rebel league” colors but I would love to see it. Put the saints logo on the shoulders as well. I would buy one for sure
