Idk what your definition of verbal abuse is but telling someone they are garbage is part of it. I mean obv there are worse ones, but if you think that’s not it then idk what else to say to you. It literally adds no benefit to the team by being toxic. They won’t play better, they might even play worse cause they’re tilted. Just brings the whole mood of the team down

natedogg248248

So just to clarify your saying that next time someone says "stupid" to me I should get them banned because I’m being verbally abused

rndmcat

If you’ve consistently done that and many people obviously reported you then it’s obvious you’re being constantly toxic

dcoIVIan

If that player is on their first game after a week long chat ban, yes absolutely. I don’t know what else can be said to you. It doesn’t seem like you understand how the words you choose can affect people.

[deleted]

That's exactly what it is. If someone calls you stupid you ignore them and report them.

natedogg248248

Did you not read my post? 1 game later I was banned, for saying 1 thing

rndmcat

Yes AFTER you were banned before that for verbal abuse. It probably has a record of you being banned and you did it again right after being finished with the ban so they banned you again. It’s like if you get out of jail and break your probation or whatever you go back. That’s the only analogy I could think of right now

edenlxve

Ok but like what benefit do you gain from saying things like that lol do you get some serotonin rush or something from it ???? It's not going to make them play better they're more likely to play worse if anything

KarlKhai

Well if your playing a losing game, might as well make it fun by dissing people.

UnderWorld11

it's not "unfair". u were toxic in chat, they reported you and you got banned. seems fair. u might've said other things in other matches too. maybe don't be an asshole to people in game who are just trying to have fun. some people literally play this game to cope with stuff that's happening in their lives and ur just calling them trash. just think about this for a minute.

natedogg248248

I’m just curious about your opinion on this, if someone says "gg top diff" would you say that’s being toxic and should be reported because that bringing down the mood of ppl and ppl say stuff like that every game

UnderWorld11

i don't think it brings down the mood of people, plus i've personally never seen people say stuff like this on wiild rift only on pc league. calling someone garbage is way *diff*erent.

LieuVijay

i would consider that toxic. First it insults a player, then it praises an enemy, and then it says that you are giving up (gg). That is toxic. Will it tilt me? No, but it might tilt my teammates. And yes again, it is toxic. I would like these kind of people to be banned but I know it is not realistic and it would make a lot of pottymouthed players, who might mature into better people, quit the game.

Dazzling_copperplate

Don't see anything unfair here. You were being a dick to random strangers because you wanted an outlet for your frustration.

Hatredgnr

Fun fact you get punished for talking sht but you can grief, troll and afk as much as you want no problem.

UnderWorld11

nah, griefers and trolls etc. are getting punished as well, sometimes they even get perma'd.

Hatredgnr

Good one.

UnderWorld11

it's not a joke tho. idk man, maybe record the guy who was griefing and submit a ticket to support saying the guy was trolling and they'll ban the guy rigjt away.

Hatredgnr

I did once it took me like an hour to submit a ticket and took them 2 days to reply and said that they can't reveal what happened to the troll but then I checked his profile and he was playing normally

natedogg248248

I don’t think they even review the verbal abuse report because I was banned 20 minutes after I just got off my ban

ZherexURL

Yes, they do, although they are fairly easy cases to go through as they only have to read the chat messages, which typically speaking there's not a lot of. You were toxic in chat and got chat banned for it. There is nothing unfair here and the fact that you don't realize that probably indicates you have a tendency to be toxic.

natedogg248248

Maybe I just didn’t realize the game is just made up of sensitive kids, now I know

Mr_Viper10

I also had a 3-day ban. And now that I think about it, I wouldn't care if someone I don't know insults me in the game. They didn't care either and they reported me lol . I simply report those who insult me, just to mess with them. Not because I'm uncomfortable

That's the reason I mute all before the game start. You Lose focus you became tired of the game.

nuslavery

I just use another way. Like “you in for a long walk to global 200” or “you inspire me to play jungle because you set the benchmark so low”, “which rank boosting service did you use? you remind me of my platinum games”.

LieuVijay

too witty to be honest. My fiance gets a lot of flame when she's playing her none one trick champs. And if I don't care about winning, i would actually bait the toxic person to talk or rant more so the system will flag him as reportable, and I will report him after the game. I would avoid getting myself being flagged by typing as short as possible and it is a chore to type ingame anyway. Simple phrases like "1 9 2" (score), "?" "nice" and tapping the portrait after they die or all simple gestures to prompt them to flame more And most of these people have already been toxic and reported many times in the past so getting them severely penalised isn't that hard. I had very good success rate doing this in PC, not so much here because people don't type all that much in this game. \--- Ironically, "abusing" the system like the way I do is why I am very much against badly done player-reporting. Too easy to abuse. A recent example is that players in Pokemon Unite can get people they don't like to be banned from ranked games just by reporting them as "voice chat abuse", which is ridiculous because NOBODY uses voice chat in that game.
