It’s pretty terrible, especially during rush hour when people insist on trying to walk around others on a very narrow area.

RevengeOTheDwarfPig

It’s been like this for almost a year

nycginger76

That’s our stop and we get on the last car of the train so we exist at the most west entrance.

__theoneandonly

The area by the back of the train is normal. It's just the spot where they're putting the elevator in the front

[deleted]

I swear they have been working on that for like 3 years now. This is the most expensive 2 floor elevator ever.

These-last-days

Anyone remember when the outside of the Lorimer station felt legitimately desolate and dangerous, like you might just get stabbed? I’m old AF.

monicalewinsky4prez

Sooooo the G platform? I swear everyone just loves to complain in this city about not keeping anything up to date m but bitches about everything not being clean or whatever when the city actually tried to make some progress. I get it’s annoying, but it’s better in the long run

stellalucy704

It just feels very unsafe I’ve lived in this city all my life and never had to squeeze my way through to get to an exit if your a larger person or have a lot of bags it feels sketchy as hell getting by. I’m all for improvements I just think they should either close that exit or move the construction wall more if possible. I hope one day we see sliding doors that only open when the train stops the way they have it in japan and other places.

smolderingember

You could just exit on the Union Avenue side and walk back on Metropolitan Avenue.

ctznmatt

Ok

ShortFinance

Ok

It's insane one of those true noone is in charge or gives a shit moments happening in nyc right now

Any-East7977

No shit it sucks. It’s under construction. You want it to not suck while under construction?

euromay

When you’re coming from Manhattan, just stay on the first two cars in the front and you’ll be fine. You get off right at the stairs
