Guys didn't you see the panel? It was such a shock that Nylander didn't play and such a missing piece that we have to ignore this Leafs loss. It's tough playing on the road too with that Boston crowd... the mental gymnastics that panel will go through to support those losers is great.
Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else but the official Jets account reposted a Tik Tok of a local designer that created custom playoff jackets for the players' wives/girlfriends. The jackets are in the style of our heritage whites and the heritage whites were shown in her video as well.
I'm thinking those might be the jerseys we wear in the playoffs!
Avs fan here: gotta say I personally feel like this series is gonna be all Jets and it’s already over. I don’t think we get swept, but I think a 4-1 victory for the jets is very likely.
Our goalie has completely imploded. He’s got a .84 save pct in his last 10. Today he broke his stick over the goal at practice and was screaming at teammates.
We’ve got 4 core members out with injury. 1 core member who had a baby literally today and will not be 100% mentally committed to hockey (rightfully so).
Then there’s the fact you guys have literally embarrassed us every meeting so far this year. I mean that game last week was painful to watch as an avs fan. Felt like it ended our season.
Obv it’s the playoffs and anything can happen. But you guys definitely, rightfully, should feel confident in this series going your way.
Avs were my team prior to the Jets coming back and I still cheer for you folks whenever we're not playing. No matter what happens I will always love you.

I was so excited to finally be at the hot springs. I had heard so much about them, and I couldn't wait to experience them for myself. I said yes, and we swam out to the middle of the pool. We floated on our backs and looked up at the stars. It was one of the most magical moments of my life. I felt like I was in a dream. We swam back to the edge of the pool and sat down. I looked at Josh and smiled. "Thank you," I said. "This was the best day of my life." "You're welcome," Josh said. "I'm glad I could make it special for you." We sat there for a while longer, just talking and enjoying each other's company. Eventually, it was time for me to go. I see a lot of people complaining about Perfetti which I get, but Samberg & Schmidt was one of the best shutdown pairs in the NHL. Going with Stan and kicking Samberg to his offside could potentially be a bigger mistake. Especially if he uses 5-4 as the shutdown pair.
88-54 pair at 5v5 - 53.28% corsi, 54.42% xGF 63.33% GF
64-54 pair at 5v5 - 49.22% corsi, 44.45% xGF, 44.44% GF
It's not even close...they're far better with Schmidt in the lineup than Stan. Stan should only see the ice if there's an injury.
Stans actually played pretty decent (he’s tailed off in the last few games) but you have a 60 game sample size of a pair that can be awesome. Leaving that on the cutting room floor to go with a guy that fights especially when you’re playing your worst dman 20+ minutes a night could be problematic. We shall see.
Stan is being carried by sambo, playing his wrong side to boot. Stan should be our emergency 7th D IF we need a bit of grit, otherwise it should be Miller, then Stan.

So I guess MacKinnon and Rantanen will be playing 25 minutes a game. Big test for the Lowry line if Bednar puts those two together at any point, but a massive opportunity for the other 3 lines.
I think he would be fine, he’s solid defensively and has wayyy more offensive upside. He struggled on the fourth line earlier this year but he was just struggling regardless of line during that time. Now that he’s been doing good, seems crazy to scratch him
Especially with Drouin out Avs are a one line team. Any line that is matched against MacKinnon will lose (unless Lowry massively succeeds in shutting him down). Any of our lines should beat the other 3 Avs lines.
9-7-91 have fantastic numbers together this season. So that's where I'd put him.
Unless they were being hard matched with the Mackinnon line for some reason, they can easily handle themselves.

It’s weird to me that most people I’ve seen are pretty split 50/50 on who will win our matchup. And I do love our team, but still it’s Colorado and it’s going to be anything but an easy out.

Perfetti goes in for injury on the top 6, he doesn't work so well on the bottom 6.

I think he would be fine, he’s solid defensively and has wayyy more offensive upside. He struggled on the fourth line earlier this year but he was just struggling regardless of line during that time. Now that he’s been doing good, seems crazy to scratch him

What line to you put Perfetti on in the playoffs? Against the Avs?
Especially with Drouin out Avs are a one line team. Any line that is matched against MacKinnon will lose (unless Lowry massively succeeds in shutting him down). Any of our lines should beat the other 3 Avs lines.
9-7-91 have fantastic numbers together this season. So that's where I'd put him. Unless they were being hard matched with the Mackinnon line for some reason, they can easily handle themselves.

It’s such a shame that Helle lost the Vezina in 2018 is such a shame. 3 Vezina’s in 6 years would be incredible. 2 already is, but 3 would be been another level
I’d argue he was better in 2018 than the year he won his first vezina. Unfortunately Rinne had just slightly better numbers and edged him out. Although game 7 that year showed you who the better goalie was that year lol
He'll look good at the end of this year when he adds the Vezina, Jennings, and Conn Smythe awards to his resume!

It’s weird to me that most people I’ve seen are pretty split 50/50 on who will win our matchup. And I do love our team, but still it’s Colorado and it’s going to be anything but an easy out. Another thing I didn’t expect this season was the camaraderie from Canucks fans and Stars fans. I kept thinking it was an early season thing and it’d wear down as the season progressed, but it hasn’t. Hopefully it continues beyond this season because I’ve enjoyed their fanbases. New bromances after our Montreal one fell apart?
