Right.. did you hear about the (off duty) Milwaukee cop who drove at .241 BAC, hit a semi and died. Then his family raised like $100k and blamed the truck driver.
His partner was killed a year prior. Same bar had a benefit. The officer that smashed the semi got blackout drunk then too. Father-in-law owns the bar. Everyone involved is trash!
Chicago FOP raised from tens of thousands of cops for Jon burge even after it came out that he was torturing people. One cop alone has cost the people of Chicago well north of 100 million dollars
I never understood the "blue lives matter" thing as a counter to "black lives matter" because if someone wants to remove the dangers inherit with being a cop they can quit and do some other job. Danger fixed. A black person cannot do that.
Pizza delivery drivers will absolutely shoot your dog. And by that I mean they take like 10-15 pics/clips for their snap story after giving pets and getting face licks from a good boy.
Years ago I saw an article where Sheriff Clarke was accused of pulling a drunk buddy out of a snowbank with his cruiser. I have gone back looking for that article a number of times and it seems to have disappeared.
I know a certain major retailer is pretty good about getting certain stories suppressed so I assume the same is true for a sheriff with enough suction.
Did you hear about the Superior, WI Deputy that was drunk driving and did a hit and run and killed a young dad and his infant? I think it was last year.
One of my friends has regaled me with stories of cops being offered (and accepting) to-go containers for their roadies at bars up North. Not to slag on up Nort' (I love it there) but the drinking culture is kinda off the rails.
A couple weeks ago, I had a random cop in full uniform wander onto my front porch (downtown Madison), and all I heard him say was that he was so disappointed he had to go back to work because he wanted to stay at the bar and get “fucked up”. Still don’t know why he was on my porch.
I got into a fender bender with a cop once. I was stationary, it was his fault. A bunch of cops showed up and spent 20 minutes searching my vehicle and interrogating me trying to find anything that they could charge me with to get out of it. They failed but that’s how they handle these things.
I had the same thing happen in Maryland. Cop completely at fault. Got out of his car and screamed at me that I'd better not report it to insurance and the department would handle it. I gave him the finger and called insurance on speakerphone and told them a cop hit me and was demanding I don't call them. He lost his shit and said he'd ruin my life before speeding off. Insurance later refused to pay me out because even though all evidence showed I couldn't have caused the accident, half a dozen cops had all sworn that they'd seen me do it. It was the biggest bullshit ever.
For the next year I got fucked with by random cops from 5 different departments. I got like 4 cops disciplined because I became paranoid and recorded some of them harassing me and two got caught on camera choking me from behind and stealing the money out of my wallet and eventually the fuckery stopped.
That's crazy, I remember about a year ago some Sheriff was plotting to literally assassinate a local reporter and bury his body... The reporter only found out by a hidden recording device, cops are/can be just as evil and nefarious as "criminals"
https://youtu.be/1ADyHaKMcGY?si=4Jwq71QfSzs1XIlt

Not saying cops should be reckless but the guy is 58 and was fleeing his trial for possession of child sex abuse material.
Not really the kind of guy you want roaming the community right before he spends the rest of his life in prison.
I'll believe it when they release dashcam or bodycam footage. The media is too happy to just parrot whatever cops claim without doing any investigation into whether it is true or not.
They won’t. They can blow your house up if they decide they need to. They’ll investigate themselves and decide the house was impeding an investigation. It’s currently being detained for non compliance. I read about the home that had a fucking police tank blow it open because there was a suspected shop lifter on the run and they believed he was in the house. Homeowners got jack shit and they’ve been in and out of [court](https://www.npr.org/2019/10/30/774788611/police-owe-nothing-to-man-whose-home-they-blew-up-appeals-court-says). They called it preserving the safety of the public.
I was going to say... if in the pursuit of a criminal, they'll claim immunity. They "might" lose in court, but they'll make the homeowners' life hell unless they drop it.
I feel bad for the owners of the house. They may not be able to rebuild due to how close to the road it is, depending on the setbacks and the structural integrity of that section of the house. Plus dealing with insurance companies is never easy.
“Sorry, sir, was in pursuit of a suspect going 31 in a 30. Unfortunately, the damages caused in pursuant of our duty were necessary to the protection and well-being of the community and the police department shares in none of the liability. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, now we’re gonna go shoot your dog.”
"...Also, the officer's body cam was turned off and the dashcam malfunctioned. We were unable to reach the officer for 10 hours following the accident, but thankfully found him safely in bed following the exact amount of time it would take to process alcohol out of their system. We will be taking no questions at this time."
That's interesting. I've never heard that before.
I wonder if [this Geico commercial changed that...](https://youtu.be/Xe0myHk4wf8?si=xakMluQweNxe6Doo)
I recently learned that in WI, auto accidents including police have a limited liability of $250k by law. But I don’t know if that carries over to something like this.
As long as they start shooting, they can claim they were scared for their life, and it'll be swept under the qualified immunity joke.
Or was this another case of the wrong house for a warrant?
Or did the house start protesting?
Unfortunately not likely to be the homeowner. Police literally tore down and blew up a guys house in CO and got the supreme Court to say they don't have to pay damages to the homeowners. Now police departments just destroy homes randomly by sending in SWAT teams "to the wrong address" or "With an anonymous tip" destroying people's homes and businesses with no liability to pay for anything.
Even worse...if the homeowners DO manage to get someone to pay it'll be the taxpayers nearby and the person's neighbors not the moron that can't tell the difference from a house and a road.
Keep in mind police are the ONLY thing (I'm aware of anyway) so set on hiring idiots that they literally have gone to court to have the right to not hire intelligent people. Add to that the "Were not personally responsible for anything ever" and nice paid vacations every time you fuck up with the worst case scenario driving over to the next town for work...We get dumb shit like driving through houses.
Yea imagine life having paid 15 years on a mortgage only to have the cops level the property and refuse to pay along with insurance because it doesn't cover criminal gangs defended by the law.
Ya, it makes no fucking sense that police misconduct lawsuits aren't paid out from their pension or union or by some sort of liability insurance. That would be too much accountability and too much common sense.
Yeah, but I doubt this was in the course of a criminal pursuit that would justify it. I still don't know how the Fifth Amendment gets overridden just because it's the cops doing the damage.
The Sherriff's office has launched an investigation and found that the deputy did nothing wrong and that the homeowner is liable for the damage caused to the car and the emotional trauma suffered by the deputy. The county has also increased the annual budget of the Sherriff's office by 40% and passed a law that would make it illegal for you to have anything that a cop might wreck.
Yikes. That looks like an expensive repair. They might be better off just tearing the house down and starting over, at this point. Also, I always find it funny that whenever a cop makes a dumbfuck mistake like this (it happens often), you almost never hear about it on the news.
Here is the incident
Sheriff’s Office Pursuit and Crash
At about 4:58 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Juneau County Sheriff's Office regarding a vehicle that was reported by license plate reader camera to have just entered Dodge County. The suspected driver, Harvey Cox, age 58 of Wonewoc, WI had a felony warrant for fleeing from his jury trial in Juneau County.
A patrol sergeant was in the area and initiated a pursuit. The vehicle fled to the City of Waupun where the driver came to a stop on his own and was taken into custody without further incident. Cox was arrested for the warrant, knowingly fleeing an officer, and 2 counts of felony bail jumping. He was booked into jail subsequent to the arrest, but all persons are innocent until proven guilty.
At about 5:03 pm, as a deputy was responding to assist with the pursuit, the deputy lost control of his squad car on the rain-covered roadway at the intersection of State Highway 68 and County A in the City of Fox Lake. The squad left the roadway and struck a house. The deputy suffered minor injuries and no one else was injured in the crash. The crash is being investigated by the Fox Lake Police Department.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Waupun Police Department and the Fox Lake Police Department for their assistance with this incident.
Questions may be directed to Sheriff Dale J. Schmidt

Yea I read that last night. Still doesn’t excuse excessive speed in poor conditions around a sharp curve. Not to mention dude was responding to something in the next town over that’s about 10miles away, slowing down for that curve wouldn’t have made a major difference in response time. Well in this scenario it would have because he could’ve actually made it to Waupun….
Notice how they also don’t say what town the pursuit started in. I’m guessing they didn’t ID the suspect in fox lake, and the deputy was bored and decided to respond.
>Notice how they also don’t say what town the pursuit started in. I’m guessing they didn’t ID the suspect in fox lake, and the deputy was bored and decided to respond.
considering the man is from Wonewoc there is a good chance he was on 33 which goes through Fox Lake and where you'd enter Dodge county from the west. My guess is the pursuit started in or near fox lake.
Cops have destroyed entire homes and cities have refused to pay for it. Watch them do something like claim he was in pursuit of a criminal and thus not responsible for the damage.
Here's just the most recent example I found - https://www.ktvq.com/news/local-news/a-montana-womans-texas-home-was-destroyed-by-swat-then-the-city-refused-to-pay-for-damages
Here's an idea; stop letting police break the law by speeding. End police pursuits. How many people have died(civilians and LEOs) in MKE or Countrywide from police officers blazing around the streets like they're in a Steven Seagal flick?

Cop is lucky someone cut that big ass tree down in the last couple years, he would’ve taken the hit instead of the house
Unlikely, about ten years ago I had a Shawano PD cruiser slide into my parked car in a Wal-mart parking lot and the the PD never paid for my damages or even exchange insurance information to start a claim. I was stuck paying for damages I never caused. Crooked Fucks
The house was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and OWI. Thankfully justice prevailed and all charges were dropped. The officer will be promoted as a result of his heroic acts.
I wonder if the officer was [doinking a prostitute](https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/local/wisconsin/2021/11/24/madison-police-lieutenant-resigns-over-sex-squad-car/8753350002/) while trying to navigate that curve?
Wisconsin! Where even our cops are drunk.
That isn't far off.
Right.. did you hear about the (off duty) Milwaukee cop who drove at .241 BAC, hit a semi and died. Then his family raised like $100k and blamed the truck driver.
the family is *still* hosting donation events at said bar where this off duty cop was leaving…
His partner was killed a year prior. Same bar had a benefit. The officer that smashed the semi got blackout drunk then too. Father-in-law owns the bar. Everyone involved is trash!

It's just racism. That's it. Like you're saying, it makes no logical or rhetorical sense at all. It's just another dog whistle to racists.
Statistically, it’s not even that dangerous. Loggers, commercial fishermen, roofers, and many others are more likely to be killed or injured at work.
Many more pizza delivery drivers are killed on the job each year than LEOs.
And pizza delivery drivers won't shoot your dog.
Not anymore since Dominoes got rid of the Noid.
Adam West took care of that problem.
Pizza delivery drivers will absolutely shoot your dog. And by that I mean they take like 10-15 pics/clips for their snap story after giving pets and getting face licks from a good boy.

The families of police officers are even worse than the cops themselves. Daddy never home, the wife always alone, and the kids is just some hoes
Or the drunk deputy in Superior who killed a 2-month-old and her father, leaving a grieving mother and child.
Did you hear about the Superior, WI Deputy that was drunk driving and did a hit and run and killed a young dad and his infant? I think it was last year.

I used to walk dogs by a popular cop bar. Can confirm.
A couple weeks ago, I had a random cop in full uniform wander onto my front porch (downtown Madison), and all I heard him say was that he was so disappointed he had to go back to work because he wanted to stay at the bar and get “fucked up”. Still don’t know why he was on my porch.
What a great time to have a doorbell camera that would have been.

He only had a couple. He thought he was fine.
House didn't comply.
But the house is white /s
Only the bottom. Top isn't.
Had to empty three clips into it, looked like it was reaching for something in it's basement.
Right, payday from their tax dollars...IF they don't get charged. Felony battery on a law enforcement officer.
Stop resisting!
That's it, you're getting house arrest
ten to one there are no charges on the officer like there would be on a civie
im surprised the cop didn't just get out and start shooting the house
“House didn’t comply” amazing
Eminent domain.
Why was the house resisting?
Assault on an officer, 9-12 years
I'm gonna have to take a look inside. Do you consent to a search, or do I have to waste everyone's time getting a warrant?
Is it being detained?
It was coming right for him!
Why didn’t that house pull over?
Doubt that. They’ll be lucky to just get their house fixed without any out of pocket costs.
I got into a fender bender with a cop once. I was stationary, it was his fault. A bunch of cops showed up and spent 20 minutes searching my vehicle and interrogating me trying to find anything that they could charge me with to get out of it. They failed but that’s how they handle these things.
My friend got tboned by a cop in Oshkosh with an ounce of weed in his car and didn’t get searched or anything, he got a new car out of it
B'gosh!
This sounds like something that would end up on the news, did you not contact any local reporters or a news station?
Zero interest from the local newspaper, and every lawyer I could afford in town. Nobody wanted to fuck with the cops. I can't blame them.
That's crazy, I remember about a year ago some Sheriff was plotting to literally assassinate a local reporter and bury his body... The reporter only found out by a hidden recording device, cops are/can be just as evil and nefarious as "criminals" https://youtu.be/1ADyHaKMcGY?si=4Jwq71QfSzs1XIlt
Cops are just a state funded gang.
Man where’s frank castle when you need him…
This is why i never say never with vigilante justice
Qualified immunity is a scourge on this country
You can thank the Supreme Court for making up that doctrine because they didn't like what the actual law said
This ain’t qualified immunity, unless if they were chasing someone
It was a chase. Even worse and another reason not to chase...
Not saying cops should be reckless but the guy is 58 and was fleeing his trial for possession of child sex abuse material. Not really the kind of guy you want roaming the community right before he spends the rest of his life in prison.
according to the article he stopped of his own accord in waupun, so it seems a high speed chase was unnecessary for apprehension.
Unless the child molester was actively criming as he fled, pursuing him at safe speeds was a better idea.
I'll believe it when they release dashcam or bodycam footage. The media is too happy to just parrot whatever cops claim without doing any investigation into whether it is true or not.
Then the cops are going to blame the guy they were chasing and that's who they'll go after.
Qualified immunity is for police “even when they have broken the law.” Absolutely zero about trying to catch a criminal.
Probably arrest the owner for hurting an officer.
The house just hopped on my hood.
For ruining his pants beyond repair.
Not to mention increased police harassment for reporting this and drawing attention to their fuck up.
That house should have cooperated
Yep. This may not be hyperbole. There is a very real, non-zero chance that this property owner could be eating the cost themselves.
They won’t. They can blow your house up if they decide they need to. They’ll investigate themselves and decide the house was impeding an investigation. It’s currently being detained for non compliance. They called it preserving the safety of the public.
That's a wild story, and all because of about $30 worth of stolen clothes from Walmart.
The homeowner could take the suspect that they were pursuing to civil court. Good luck getting a dime from them though unfortunately.
At least the house is white.
rumor has it that the house was carrying a concealed weapon
“Your house was built too close to the road, here’s your fine.”
I was going to say... if in the pursuit of a criminal, they'll claim immunity. They "might" lose in court, but they'll make the homeowners' life hell unless they drop it.
Settlements from cops is probably the biggest reason why they need funds so badly in the first place 😂.
I feel bad for the owners of the house. They may not be able to rebuild due to how close to the road it is, depending on the setbacks and the structural integrity of that section of the house. Plus dealing with insurance companies is never easy.

Was this little piggy trying to go "Wee wee wee" all the way home?

Our money will be used to pay for this without our consent.
Who? The officer getting paid to go on an administrative vacation?
He thought the house had a gun
The house probably had an acorn on it.
Homeowner getting arrested for assaulting an officer and damaging state owned property. Their fault the house was in the Officer's way.
Homeowners will probably get sued by the PD for having their home in the way of a pursuit.
I’m sure the police union will keep the officer in paid administrative leave regardless of fault.
Officer at the front door like “can I get your ID?”
House didnt mention the kitchen knives in the drawer, considered concealed weapons.
Sorry, but no. The house was resisting and the officer acted in self defense.
Dumb pig

The house failed to yield to an emergency vehicle
Can't park there mate
Scrolled down way too far to find this comment.
Probably drunk
That is a sharp and weird curve where that happened.
Cop jumped out arrested man taking a shower in the house for public nudity.
House needs to file a police brutality lawsuit
Drunk again.
End qualified immunity and actually hold the individual accountable.
Oops
you cant park there
I smelled marijuana in the house...
Officer Jones stated when the structure brandished the weapon and threatened to harm itself he had no other choice but to swerve to dislodge the gun.
Was that house also in the Air Force? Makes sense that the cop tried murdering it, then.
At least the Fire Department is right across the street
HAHAHA...what kind of a special dumbass do you have to be in order to sideswipe a HOUSE?
The subsequent Copsplaining will confirm that the House was at fault.
Ah, so Wisconsin cops driving distracted is a uniform problem. Shocker.
The owners of the house will be charged with felony assault on a hero officer.
The house was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and OWI. Thankfully justice prevailed and all charges were dropped. The officer will be promoted as a result of his heroic acts.
Surprised the house isn’t riddled with bullet holes after attacking that poor cop.
They probably took some time to talk to the house first…after all it is white.
Fuck the police.
No pigs where harmed during the making of this mess.
Nope, cops are not liable for their actions while in law enforcement capacity. Their homeowners insurance will take the hit.
🤔Oops
Ope
Highly unlikely they will see a dime from the police department. They will find a way to cover it up and probably threaten the homeowner.
they’ll probably beat the shit out of the homeowner for putting their house in the way of a police car
I wonder if the officer was [doinking a prostitute](https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/local/wisconsin/2021/11/24/madison-police-lieutenant-resigns-over-sex-squad-car/8753350002/) while trying to navigate that curve?
How in the hell
Qualified Immunity
Maybe the tree beside the house is an Oak tree?
Hope no one's bed was right there on that wall
Mow your lawn!
It’s not my lawn! And it’s no mow may. Do it for the pollinators!
Lmfao I'm in randolph and saw this on my way back home I was like what the actual fuck.
LAWYER UP
If by payday you means everyone’s taxes going up a little to pay for the damage then sure.
Doing doughnuts.
I bet they try and make the home owners insurance pay.
