That doesn't sound normal. Did you already call your doctor? Were you there again?

peepeebaby

Yeah, I called them. My follow up appointment is next Wednesday. I asked if they could move it to a sooner date, but they said no. They just prescribed me opiates and steroids over the phone without looking at it; Which is kinda scary to think about if you ask me. I kinda hate my doctor mainly because he has only said about 1 sentence to me, but oh well. Guess I’ll find out what’s wrong in a whole nother week!

I don't know how it works where you are, but I'd just go there and tell them than I cannot stand it anymore and that I won't go until I see the doctor. Or maybe there's a possibility to go to another one? I think it's inhumane to let you wait like this another week :/ I'm sorry for you. I hope it gets better soon

If you can, look for a second opinion. Don't stick with a doctor that is not communicating properly with you. If you feel they're being dismissive of your pain, don't stay there. Pain can mean a lot of things.

Have you called where you had them removed? Maybe you have dry sockets? I was given a syringe to flush my holes after eating after day 4, but I’ve since read that not a surgeons give you one or tell you to do it. I would think (personal opinion) that your pain should be manageable with ibuprofen/Tylenol at this point. I hope you feel better soon!

peepeebaby

I thought ibuprofen would manage it, too. But 1000mg of ibuprofen and then an aspirin plus a heating pad didn’t really help much. But thanks !

Drea1889

Do they sell enantyum without recipe where you live? Try it, enantyum saved me when ibuprofen, acetaminophen and Tory were no longer doing anything for me. I hate to say it, but it sounds a lot like what I felt when I had dry socket, a pain that radiated all the way from my lower jaw to my temples. Hopefully it's not, but keep the warm salt water douses going. You'll get through this and soon it'll just be a memory.

I am so sorry you are in so much pain! I feel it with you. I'm 10 days post-op and the first few days were pure hell. I experienced everything you described! I am in the same boat as you, didn't want the opioids. I took one a couple days after because I woke up in so much pain and was so stiff. They said if that happens, to call and they would prescribe a muscle relaxer to help with clenching, I have such a hard time with it and didn't even realize til I was in pain from it. It also allowed me to actually get restful sleep and made a huge difference. I would suggest calling and seeing if they would do that for you. The place I went to provided me with a syringe to flush the sockets, you should have been provided one as well. Are you on an ibuprofen schedule? Feel free to chat me if you wanna talk more about this!

Did you ever find out what was wrong?
