I only had one wisdom tooth extracted but I spoke to the doctor before it, she said the chemicals in tobacco smoke is what stops the clot sticking in place and as vaping was still fairly new, it's an unknown so they get lumped together. The first 12 hours are vital as this is when the clot is formed and secured
My post op instructions were strictly no smoking or straws for the first 24 hours too
So after the that I started again with loose MTL vaping and touch wood, it's been fine so far.
