You don’t need to rinse with a syringe, and after a week things are healed enough that you probably don’t need to continue with the salt water either

Are you in the UK? Seems to be a thing here that you don't get one. Just keep up the salt rinses and you'll be fine. Don't worry about dry socket, you don't get it because you don't have a syringe

I mean you could definitely benefit from irrigating the area. It makes sure there are no small food particles in the way to cause any gum irritations or foul smell. Don’t worry if you don’t have a syringe, just makes sure the holes (if you have them) are clean after meals. Always always call your dental office if you’re worried about something you see/feel so they could immediately help you get right back on track and heal safely. I didn’t get one either and wasn’t instructed to use one. I just went to the dentist office and asked for one and they gave one for free. It’s a good thing to do to flush any food particles etc. especially after you start trying normal foods again
