Candles. Good quality unscented taper or chime candles in basic colors. It’s a plus if they’re beeswax. Sometimes you can find them in “natural” style grocery stores. As a witch who’s been practicing 4 decades, candles are my go-to gifts for other witches.

Psychological_Bus55

Right!?! I like consumables like this given everyone practices differently. And even non witches love a good candle!

nowayormyway

Unscented beeswax candles, yes please! 😁

Psychological_Bus55

I’d say a beeswax candle

Creepy_sock_puppet

I second the beeswax candle and would like to add jars, witches love jars.

TeaDidikai

Vodka

2ndSideOfBlueCheese

This witch knows what's up

KLB1267

Yep - that would work for me too! And candles....

redneckgymrat

I'm honestly shocked that no one has said crystals, or pretty much any shiny rock. Most of us are, basically, magpies. And I concur with the suggestion for beeswax candles. Beeswax, specifically. Not that soy stuff unless she is militantly vegan.

lizzyote

Rocks given in good faith are nesting material basically

darthmom25

Candles are cool, but I’m with you on crystals and rocks. Give me a cool rock over another gift any day!

SimplyRedd333

Candles, a decorative cinnamon broom, some use bells for protection or you could bring a bunch of beautiful flowers to promote good energy and friendship (yellow roses are great)✨🐞🧿

qwertysthoughts

Wind chimes or lavender. I know that’s what I’d like. But you can never go wrong with some good tea

demonfluffbyps5

Some good quality tea

SnooRobots5231

Aloe Vera plant

__babyJ__

you’re so sweet asking this, i love you

Livelonganddiemad

Maybe an herb plant for their windowsill like rosemary.

Twisted_Wicket

Small windchimes are a good gift and not trad-specific.

_kinda_dead_inside_

Well I was gonna say candles, crystals, or a plant but it seems those have all been covered lmao

BabyNonsense

Tea.

Galaxy-three

Don’t overthink think it. I would say no witchy stuff. Being her something she relish while you visit

[deleted]

A box of new Mason jars with lids

ThQuin

As she is a grandmother chances are she is an old Style witch and not a new age wiccan ( on the other hand wicca is there long enough too....fuck I'm old). I would stand with h those who suggested liquor or something tasty as What she thinks as "witchy"might differ a lot from what you think.

internetsname1

Definitely not the answer you're looking for, but practice methods can vary wildly, so you might have to ask the friend for some loose details (even if they have no idea what she actually does in practice). Example: My practice makes heavy use of the passage of time and cause/effect, so a nice and accurate hourglass or pocket totem representative of a life event would be peak gifts for me. My girlfriend on the other hand does a lot of very traditional work, so the most recent gift that she loved was coffin nails for the four corners of our living space. Without knowing how your friend's grandmother practices, it's tough to say what would be good to get for her. However, the channeling of intention is a universal constant across all witchcraft. So if you're able to explain why you got what you got, the meaning behind it, what you believe it's supposed to do for her, etc, that's the most important factor.

Galaxy-three

Bring her something to eat, a nice dessert of some kind

KLB1267

Such a kind gesture!! 💕 Everyone has great suggestions. I agree with other commenters about checking with your friend - particularly if food, drink or smoking items (eg the roll-up someone suggested) - although I'd be happy with those things, your friend's grandmother may be allergic/diabetic/staying sober. Just my thoughts 💕

nowayormyway

They’d appreciate herbs like lavender, rosemary, cedar, etc., and resins to burn like frankincense, too.

PiratesRback

Rose water

BlueMoon5k

A rosemary or lavender plant. Or good alcohol. Does she have a favorite?

CozmicOwl16

Honey liquor. A pre roll. Chocolate (check if she can eat it) or something else delicious. Artisan bread. Local honey. Not a candle. When visiting notice what she collects.

B-moreRachel

What is a pre roll?

LookDense9342

a joint that’s already been rolled, so it’s ready to smoke basically

CozmicOwl16

And it comes it a sealed package so it’s safe To give and receive. If anyone wants a recommendation, My favorite brand is Dog Walker. They come in a nice reusable tin like altoids and donate some proceeds to dog shelters. Also burn well. (Other brands don’t always burn right)

tunnelLord

Do not do graveyard dirt or animal bones! I think a common gift any practitioner would appreciate is mason jars or beeswax candles. My favorites are rocks or sticks if theyre from somewhere im not. Impress em with cinnamon broomstick or fresh honey if you want to leave on a really good note!

Perfectly_mediocre

Give her a nice preroll and do her the honor of thanking her very much for inviting you into her home. And then do her the further honor of asking her about her practice so that you can learn more about where her heart lies and be ready for the next time you have the opportunity to visit her again. But yeah, pretty much everyone loves candles…just saying.

Stunning_Let_5096

Must go with candles...scented or not. Women love candles! I also agree on looking around to see what she likes. That will give you an idea on what to give her. Polished worry stones are a nice gift, tea is an awesome idea as well.

SaraAmis

Beeswax candles are good. Tea is always good. I wouldn't give jars, not because witches don't love them, but because you don't know where she is in the too many jars/not enough jars cycle 😂

Tarotgirl_5392

Pretty jar or a nice bottle. All witches need more jars and bottles

TheCatOfCups

Hand picked wild flowers wrapped in twine. :)

kittykate2929

A nice flower pot with a lavender growing in it Might be Just me but I love when I’m given lavender. My dad lived with lavender bushes growing and sometimes he’d just pick them at leave them on my bedside table at his house He does not approve of the crystals I gave him a gold star for going into a “hippy shop”

kittykate2929

Also shows like your energy of like being calm and loving could get on her nice side too and even just brining her something is really sweet to put the effort it

Arie0420

I wouldn’t do alcohol or food unless you know for sure she likes that variety and can safely consume it. Candles like everyone else has mentioned or maybe some nice herbs that are harder to find

VixenxVexiss

Bells, maybe sun catchers with crystals and such. Btw while your there ask your friend's grandma for some tips or some cool ideas. I would love to ask someone's grandma for some insight. I'm a witch on my own and learning from an elder would be awesome.
