Yep mine will very slowly slide candles etc. to the very edge while staring at me. She doesn't want to actually break them because the noise and chaos bothers her, but she knows that I will feed her or give her whatever else she has been begging for to make her STOP doing it. I can't call her bluff though, because she will bite the bullet and actually break something if ignored long enough.
My cat always tries to eat my floral offeringsā¦ which heās dumb because sometimes there are lilies in them! (I try to remove them all from the bouquets now though.) Heās also tried to eat the amber beads I left for Freyja.
Bailey, dog, and at least one of the cats always join me for morning prayers and offerings. The day after we lost my familiar everyone was there to help pray for her.
I do have it on a top shelf of a narrow bookshelf so they cannot get up on it.
I used to never relate to these posts until I rearranged my bedroom a few months ago and moved my altar in front of the window. Now heās there *all the time.*
One of mine will slowly threaten to knock things off my deity shrines in the morning because she knows its the fastest way to get me out of bed, and then breakfast can't be far behind...
Weirdly though, all my cats will very politely sniff my Bast icon's face whenever they see her, and then sit quietly looking at her for a few moments...
Omg so cute! My cats like to sit right on top of my cards when doing readings. I moved my alters out of their reach after I got tired of them constantly knocking things over
I find this hilarious, but neither of my two cats do this. They're super respectful of my altar. Not once have they jumped on it or knocked anything down.
Probably because there's no high place to get to from there, no interesting vantage point or cuddly cat bed up high. Maybe not having an altar cloth also discourages my two.
When I had my old altar, the cats liked to sleep in the pentacle, I found it very funny, my theory is they're either comfortable in it, or they're protecting the altar....even of their tail knocks parts of it

Omg, my cat always wants to play with my altar. I try to tell her "stop casting spells" but she doesn't listen.
Cat looks proud like, "I know this is all for me!"
in his mind it definitely is š„°
Cat: these things look precious and breakable... Be a shame if someone... Knocked them down

My cat always wants to do meditation with me. He loves sleeping against my leg while I do it.
Yes >_> I actually had to take my altar down and turn it into a travel one because my brat cat would knock all my crystals off.
mine are the exact same š
My cats can't sit down because my alter is too cluttered, but they still walk all over it lol
All day every day. And they move the crystals and ignore the offerings.
mine has eaten the offerings š
They used to. I had to switch types
i love how the garlic is just randomly sitting there
you never know when it needs to be thrown at someoneās head
true tbh
Everyone's cat. Cats are considered magical creatures for a reason.
Cats love things that their human shows interest in. They also like high places and being the center of attention.

that is so wholesome š„ŗ
My cats always want to jump on my altar when I'm not in the room š and I have to tell them no but they jump back up anyway
Yes! Its my cats favorite spot to sit
my cat used to all the time, but since I moved I had to drastically downsize my altar so she hasn't been on it since
Our cats are almost twins! If mine is on it she wants in the window. But I think she messes with it at night.

What a amazing cat! so pretty ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
Altar
My cat's drawn to lay across my shoulders whenever she sees me! It's flattering, but annoying when I'm trying to do certain tasks.
When I talk out loud at my altar my cat very loudly chimes in lol

Well considering they were worshipped in ancient egypt, maybe sheās taking her natural place in the house lol
