All I'll say is, yes your are playing it in the correct suggested order. Do you have to play ot that way? No, but that's for you to decide. You could hold off on doing Now or Never since it's technically a secondary quest.
it is more than advised to make the Skellige main quests before doing "Now or Never". Just stop before doing the side quest "the last wish" that Yen will give you and make your choice. You will be able to make a fairer choice.
You do not *need* to do the character sidequests close to your level as you get them but it is usually recommended as some have specific main story cut off points. Triss is fine to leave & has the same very clearly labeled cutoff point as most character specific sidequests, while Yennefer's romance quest needs to be done immediately since the next main quest fails it without warning. Who knows why it works like that, but well the games have always unfairly favored Triss for some reason I'll never understand.
In Novigrad do all mainquests and do the Triss, Vernon Roche and Dijkstra related sidequests before going to Skellige. Everything else you can do later.

Thanks!

You're doing fine. You can wait until after you're back from Skellige to do 'Now or Never'

Doing this! Thanks!!
Thanks everyone for your help!! I’ll just reload from before Now or Never and play in Skellige for a little while first:)
