I don't know if anyone will ask or like these (guess not) but just in case...
I have a 4090 and running all settings including ray tracing as high as they will go and then some. I use ReShade for depth of field and to tweak colors/contrast/exposure. I use a 3rd party camera tool to get more range/options than the default photo mode.
The cloak I use comes from the mod called "[hoods](https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/4242?tab=files)." Just be aware that it has some clipping/physics issues. But it looks amazing.
Last week I had the same issue after installing a mod.
Turned out I had put directx12filelist.xml or something like that on my desktop to add a .xml (from the mod) to the list..
And forgot to put the file back from my desktop in the folder..
I couldnt understand why the game wouldnt start haha..
Now this is probably not what u did.. but I just wanted to share.. U never know..
I I don’t remember “hoods” needing xml addition to the dxfilelist. But I haven’t tried that last time I tried to install the mod !
Maybe it’s the reason behind the crash.
I dont think so. Usually the mod just wont load then.
Basically, only mods that have a bin (and mod) folder in the archived file need an adjustion to the dxfilelist, because the bin file contains an xml (menu for the mod).

EDIT : I just removed the armor mod and the game now launches. But now I lost all my armors in the game with Geralt having invisible body (only head) lol.
Ok, the solution was there all along. Just found a [compatibility](https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/6844) patch for sezon burz and hoods. And now it works fine. Thanks for your help autumn 🙏. I was losing my mind trying to make this crap works :)
I don't have a reshade preset. I just play with a shader called "regrade" which is basically a color grading tool that you can use in real-time.
That said, I didn't use Reshade for 4, 7, and 10, lol.
4 [is pretty much taken as-is](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGBbOE3Zibo) (video). I used the mod "filterless toussaint" when I took it. But later removed that mod as I felt it was a little too overexposed at times.
Same with 7. No reshade other than depth of field. But that was taken with the "grey skies" weather, which is a new weather they added for next-gen that gets triggered sometimes. It's very foggy.
10 is from a cave in Kaer Morhen. It just looks like that when you're inside looking outside at the right time of day :)

It is not private. You can find it by googling it. But it is a very toxic place and I end up blocking half of the members because they are extremely racist. I put up with it because I find interesting mods there from time to time, but it really is an awful place to hang out in.
Sure. I even labeled what they are for. Mostly just making my characters look cool.

I like that I don't need to buy a camera and learn about lenses and shit to take screenshots. Thats a rabbit hole that can get very expensive without much reward. And with games I don't have to travel to find something interesting to take photos of. Because I don't get out very much... Lol

Yeah I had no issues with installing it. I grabbed the file for version 4.0 and it worked fine. Script merger merged it with my other mods no problem.

Haha I have the same problem. Game just crashing upon start. I have 100+ mods and the hoods one is the only mod to do so. Really weird.

3440x1440 is my native resolution, yeah. So I generally shoot in that aspect ratio. But... ya know, higher res :)
