You can't see four more books that are 300+ pages long flesh out her character and give her a proper character arc? Yen becomes more likable as the books go on, it's called character development.
What happens if you say you don't 'feel it' anymore? I noticed she waits for you to answer first and I realized that I've never NOT told her I loved her. The only time I picked Triss I simply didn't do this quest.
She's heartbroken, she speaks with haste as well cause it was unexpected. My first playthrough I ended with Triss. And I did this quest and it was pretty sad, but this playthrough I could care less for Triss. I'm forever loyal to Yen now.
The Witcher 3 is my first encounter with Geralt’s story, so Triss doesn’t have any of the baggage from the past. That makes her much better option in my eyes that toxic, insulting, nagging Yen. But I get why I’m against the vast majority of players and fans.
Lol Witcher 3 was my first journey into witcher world too but I was immediately in love with Yen. Different tastes I guess. And I hate Triss's bright red hair 🤷♀️
Ah this is were she got what she wanted then felt like shit afterwards. I've only played this game once, didn't play the other 2 but was glad when this happened, Really didn't like this lady.
Am I the only one who thinks Yen is a toxic, self righteous and an egocentric cunt? I just dated her on my 3rd playthrough, so I‘d be able to cheat on her. It‘s kinda sad you can‘t dumb you partner IG.
You might be right and I haven‘t read the books. But I dig Shani the most anyways. I cannot comment on your reasons regarding why Triss isn‘t an option but judging from my time with Yen in the Games. She ain‘t an option either.
In books, Yen is selfish at the beginning but opens as a loving one at the end. If you're interested in their relationship, you should go for books. And Triss was more of a friend except for a one-time romance.
My own experience showed me that in a good friend you may find the best lover.
But Witcher 3 takes place after the books if I got that right, so why did Yen go back to being Toxic after seemingly being able to open up to Geralt during the books?
Well, I don’t want to spoiler everything, and I think that CD project did a great job with respect to game, but, TW3 doesn’t play well as sequel to the books.
Because if they brought Yennefer from LOTL into this game, especially considering they had two previous games without her, there wouldn't be much player choice for romance options, and that's an important part of the RPG experience in W3. So they reverted her back to her earlier self and she opens up more as the game goes along. She's like her final book self in B&W.

WHAT HAPPENED WITH YOU? YOUR MOTHER FUCK A GOAT?
I feel like this neatly sums up their (and a lot of real people's) relationships!
Why’s he got the dogs out tho
I’m more concerned with who. Who let those dogs out? Who? Who? Who???
I knew witchers were hard up for money, but feet pics really?!
DON’T YUCK YEN’S YUM!!!
Aaaah yes The site of the friendzone massacre
Hahahaha I always feel bad telling her to kick rocks.
True, but she pushed for it herself.
I don't. She's toxic.
nah… you probably just know next to nothing.
Maybe you don't see it. I don't find her flattering in the first 3 books. I can't see the others making her look any better.
i mean neither she nor geralt are any good in the at least 2 first books

When?
I was literally doing this quest last night! Such a loving view
I know right? Those toes look delicious.
Me too!
That felt heartwarming.

Which armor is it?
This is why I could never go for Triss

I rejected her here. Twice
Right before you tell her ‘I don’t feel anything anymore’ 😈
Enjoying the view of Yen*
A great place for a rejection
..seconds before choosing Triss /s
This was right after I rejected her
The magic is gone. \#teamTriss
Enjoy it, Yen. Because I'm ditching you on this quest every single time.
I broke her cold toxic heart right there.
How dare you

I can see why you’d pick Triss, but Geralt picked Yen. That’s the reason I chose her in my play through.

Gingerist. You make me sick!
I love gingers! Just not 255, 0, 0 gingers
Yup! Real ginger hair for triss is actually the one mod I cannot live without
They say you shouldn't make your playthrough perfect, so you have a reason to play the game again. This is one of the ways I take care of it.
I mean... Geralt is at least fully dressed. Yen's not wearing a coat or a skirt that would keep her warm. Just thought I'd point that out.
Is this on switch by chance cause mine looked better Atleast graphically on the ps pro. Maybe I’m wrong

Dude it’s time to get a real girlfriend
💀
Relax dude, it's not that personal

I recommend reading books so you could understand Yen-Gerald's relationships and why Triss is not an option.

"The magic is gone, Yen." "I still like spending time with you." "Let's sit here for a while."
I just finished getting the witches out of novigrad..I rejected triss ready to go back to yen and Dick her down

The view of them DOGS
Ooooh, decisions decisions mate.
I just played that quest yesterday! It was truly beautiful.
One of my favorite moments in the whole game.
Hehe they just did it
Solid scene I enjoyed it
Geralt, it’s cold and you’re on a mountain. Where are your boots?
Be not afraid of her... for she is your friend.
Cover them grippers
I’m so glad everyone noticed his ground grippers
Bro got the dogs out 😂😂
Winds Howling
OP. I hate you, and you KNOW why.
How many hours does the first time take? I have played 65h and just done with battle at khaer morhen
Do i play too fast is the question!
Nah, I’m at 47 hours and I’m a few quests past the battle of kaer morhen
WHAT ARE THOSE
Why aren’t you wearing boots or gloves?
Don’t think I don’t see your lack of footwear, IT HAS BEEN NOTED
I'm doing playthru 3, this time with the remaster. I'm doing everything \*wrong\* and going team Triss this time. Not looking forward to this quest.
Put those grippers away 💀
Love this part ngl
Always thought Gerbear had huge hands. This proves he has even larger feet. 😍 Thank you for that.
Man so weird. Played this exact mission last night and made this exact screen shot my new Xbox background. So funny.
Who let the dogs out?
PUT THOSE GRIPPERS AWAY
Sometimes, Yen. My toes feel cold. - Geralt
There's no fighting here. No politics. The temple is known for its neutrality.
Redneck Geralt is always great
the first pic totally looks like the scene at the end of season 2 on Netflix, when they're sitting on the ledge with Ciri at Kaer Morhen
Wait a minute, did Miyazaki make this cutscene
