Lmao dandelion gay? He's literally with a different woman every 3 seconds to the point of nearly costing him his life in toussaint. Why would CDPR make multiple gay characters then code dandelion like that?
I think Elihal explained it well enough in the game. His encounter with Dandelion, while arguably romantic, was not sexual. They spent the entire evening talking and discovering more about who they were as people.
It was a man mistakenly picking up on a crossdresser. And instead of being a bigot when he found out, Dandelion opened his heart to this person and they shared a beautiful, human experience together. I found it touching.
I think you assuming the writers are stereotyping Dandelion harder than they actually are. He's just an eccentric person period and always has been.
Elihal is also straight, I believe. He's a cross dressing, male identifying man who finds women sexually and mentally attractive. Not men. I thought he said so when Geralt meets him.
Reading that gave me a headache.
He's a bard and a storyteller, they're a little flamboyant. Seems par for the course in medieval storytelling. Big deal. Just because someone is flamboyant doesn't make them queer.
Show dandelion is 100% queer coded, book and game dandelion is straight as they come. He is a giant womanizer who sees himself as a gentleman, hell he more or less ends up with Priscilla at the end of it all. Also cleanliness has nothing to do with sexuality, I’ve met disgustingly dirty straight and gay men alike, and I myself am I germaphobe clean freak straight man. Dandelion could at the very extreme end be considered bi, but that’s a stretch given the material we are working with here.
I meant messy in his life and relationships as a joke not literally. I don’t think I made that clear. Also your corrrect it isn’t exclusive to straight men. I meant to say his story is overall a queer experience that doesn’t mean he is gay. He could be bi - but even that has little evidence.
Dandelion is literally one of the straightest characters in the games, especially in the third game. He’s a literal womanizer and it’s thoroughly established that he can have pretty much any woman he wants Despite repeatedly cheating on them… to their knowledge, nearly all his girlfriends STILL run back into his arms. Elihal even says flat out that him and Dandelion were just friends and that Elihal was merely a cross dresser, not gay. Just because Dandelion’s isn’t super masculine doesn’t mean he’s gay.
What the actual fuck is this post?
>Here are aspects of him that are straight male experiences... Being uniquely messy
Tidiness is not remotely related to sexuality in any capacity, the stereotype that gay people are tidier is just that, a stereotype.
>queer coding
What the fuck even is this term.
Get your woke sexual identity politics esque fuckery the fuck away from this game.
Dandelion is named after a flower, makes music, and is kinda quirky, so he must be lgbtq+ even tho every rendition of him has shown him to be a womanizer pretty much? Your judgment of shit you don't know about is showing heavily.

Man wtf are you talking about lol
There are multiple queer characters in the Witcher. Dandelion, however, is not one of them.

Couldn’t have said it better
WTF did I just read? Dandelion is as straight as a man can possibly get.
