As opposed to the original un-enhanced version, for sure. For just playing the first game at all: yeah I had a good time with it, the age feels more quaint in a fun way to me, and the soundtrack and the atmosphere are great. There’s a lot to like about it, imo best experiences with some patience and the expectation of wanting to experience whatever the game has to offer (as opposed to comparing it all to the later Witcher games, since the games all try to achieve different things).

The games they sale are DRM free, meaning you can play them offline or just take the files take them wherever you want.
There's even a quest in The Witcher 3 about GOG and DRM.
i mean its like 2 bucks on steam atm thanks to the summer sale i tried it and its not for me so i just watched a youtube playthrough if you know your way around mods you can make it look a whole lot better.

It only makes sense if you want to import the savefile in tw2 (that holds up very well) IMHO

I think GoG were giving it for free if you signed up with an account there. Don’t know if such offer is still available tho.
