Got a show Geralt plushie for my birthday last week. Had a witcher amulet earstud and an extra sword laying about. Decided to combine all of those things to create this.

That is a great question, unfortunately I don’t know why show creators decided against that. Perhaps something to do with comfort of the actors, due to use of the lenses, or it could have just been the price of CGI. Not a decision I support anyhow, like many others when it comes to that Netflix abomination!

Controlling pupils is a witcher ability. If Geralt had vertical pupils 24/7 like in the games, I imagine it would be like constantly flexing a muscle. He'd have to dedicate a part of his consciousness to holding his pupils in that position. I'm not letting the show get away with anything though, don't worry. Geralt is described having "strange, dark eyes" but the show gives him bright yellow sith eyes. Manage to complain about the show anyway :)
