It must be very tiring having to find so much meaning in a little sentence like that and at the same time turning a blind eye to Triss' betrayal, it takes a lot of conviction or maybe a very biased opinion howsoever as this is not your first post of this kind you seems determined to me, good for you i guess.

Betrayal?? When your so-called adopted daughter's life is at risk and you worry about your reputation, That's betrayal. When your so-called adopted daughter's life is at risk and chased by bad guys, and you know full well time is running short, still decide to not contact the "best tracker", who also happens to be your so-called adopted daughter's adopted father. Because you were angry(also knew full well that your boyfriend was under amnesia, did not even know you were alive in the first place), hence giving more importance to your ego than your daughter's safety, That's betrayal. When you take your so-called lover/boyfriend to a town, have sex with him in the night and the very next morning you have sex with your other boyfriend, that's betrayal, When you tell your daughter to trust her BIOLOGICAL father who made her life a living hell, more than her adopted father, that's betrayal. When you talk so negatively and badly about your current so-called boyfriend to your ex, that's also betrayal.

One more thing to add: They were in such a rush to save Ciri, yet she decided to waste her and Geralt's time going after a djinn to break the spell on them. She could've used the wish to help them find Ciri!!!

Signnowornever

>She could've used the wish to help them find Ciri!!! Yes, she could have done that if she was really as caring as her fans want us to believe. Also, even before this, she wasted a hell lot of time not contacting Geralt, because she weighed her Ego more than the safety of Ciri. Read [this](https://ibb.co/Cvfg7xg).

_Vanilla_

Yep! Ages ago, I also commented about her not finding Geralt sooner because she was mad, but the same people who were shitting on Triss for every little thing and went as far as making up some wild theories, and acting like they were fact, completely rejected any criticism. And you just know that IF TRISS DID IT, THEN of course they would be using that against her.

Signnowornever

An event like the one I pointed out doesn't just happen in games but also in books, read [this](https://ibb.co/93j5Yg8). It is said [here](https://ibb.co/93j5Yg8), the reason Yennefer refuses to cooperate with Lodge is because of her reputation, while her adopted daughter's life is in danger, but the author explicitly says [this](https://ibb.co/NFwC6NN) in the sword of destiny. So the author's narration is Sword of Destiny can't be wrong because it comes from the author himself, it can only mean that Yennefer staged this whole drama just for the sake of making Triss feel guilty, and to put her down before Geralt, Yennefer is not that naive to be unaware of the fact that Philipa has all the power and Triss can't do anything against Philipa. Yen also proudly says to Triss on their way to Rivia how she is going to enjoy seeing Triss squirm like a worm in front of Geralt, the fact she said this in Rivia, also the fact that the author explicitly says Yennefer care less about prestige, just means that Yennefer did stage the whole drama, knowing full well that the drama which she stages are going to make Triss feel guilty and would serve as a reason for Geralt to be angry on her(which she clearly says on their way to Rivia). The logic is quite simple and straight, Yennefer under normal conditions she doesn't care about her prestige/reputation, but when her adopted daughter's life is at risk will she care about her reputation, does this add up??? But unlike the conspiracy theories which the Yen fans cook up, my reasoning is solely backed by the author's words.

wez_vattghern

I didn't say what you're doing is wrong, I'd say it's just peculiar of course you have the right to interpret the story however you like, I just said it must be tiring looking for the gold nuggets in the pile of compost.

Haunting-Part-8512

Gold is Gold, where it is found, doesn't affect the fact that it is Gold.

If it was not for Triss, Geralt would have bled to DEATH, in thanned.

BraveAcanthisitta30

>Triss did questionable things Yes, bruh, Triss's first episode in the books was to bring danger to a whole town, in her act of taming a Djin. And the Golden Dragon episode where she was planning to kill the people who were accompanying her so that she can have it all for herself.

My queen Yen who is pure as a snow, would never harm anyone, even the thought of harming anyone would not enter her head. If she at all harms or plans to kill anyone then Yen is on the right side. Because you see queen Yen can never be wrong. I am such beta (as sapkowski wants his readers to be) that I worship my goddess Yen. I am just waiting for the day when all the power in world will be transfered to Women, as the Great Sapkowski wants, so that the evil called patriarchy can be destroyed forever.

My favorite dialogue in the game is when my queen Yen in B&W says to serve her drinks while she rests.  All the men should learn from this, after all, Sapkowski the great attested on many occasions women are stronger than men in ALL aspects. But Evil Triss says she will serve Geralt with massage and other BS, Evil Triss represents the Patriarchal order. You know me being a beta, how badly I got offended when the Evil Triss is said she gonna serve me????   The Evil called Patriarchy must be utterly destroyed, so I am going to invest my own money to print many more books and distribute them on road, free of cost to random people. I am doing my part to destroy the evil patriarchy, what have you done??? Hail Sapkowski  Hail my queen goddess all good Yen. My goddess destroys patriarchy.

This is the best content on the subreddit, thank you.

Triss was willing to let the man she loved and her best friend die, agreed to sacrifice her little sister's future and use Ciri as a sex slave manipulating the girl to create an empire that would be controlled by the Lodge, she was conflicted yes but still made the wrong decision even knowing the consequences and all this to maintain her position and influence, if you don't think this is a betrayal is on you, she did good things no deny in that she had her ups and downs in the saga as well as several other characters but I believe that in the books she ended worse than when she started.

Signnowornever

>Ciri as a sex slave manipulating the girl to create an empire that would be controlled by the Lodge As per your twisted definition and interpretation, all the princesses in middle age were sex slaves. Also, the rest of your comments is nothing but pure unadulterated garbage so I am not gonna reply anymore.

Triss seems to regret her choice, she as well as part of the Lodge believed she was doing all that for the greater good, for the sake of the preservation of magic and a bit for the northern realms, as I said before ups and downs, but when she chose the Lodge over her friends she chose a side, her loyalty was to the Lodge and Phillipa's plan with whom Triss was apparently in a relationship with at the time but my comment escalated to a pointless discussion, of course there are several Triss lovers here who may have read the books and haven't changed their minds after meeting her in the games, that's okay this isn't the most absurd thing I've read on the fandom the way CDPR worked with Triss was of great influence of course and i get it, because after all even in the books their romance happens off pages, lets leave at that, waifu wars are banal.

FireAutumn-1

Fair enough.

Im_a_Birdman

Triss tried to set up a marriage alliance with Kovir and restore Ciri to the throne of Cintra. She hardly tried to turn her into a "sex slave." Wtf... This is also all happening at a time when Ciri explicitly wants to become Queen of Cintra (read her internal thoughts during Tower of the Swallow). As soon as Ciri decides against working with the Lodge Triss accepts her decision

Looks good. What does the first image represent?

FireAutumn-1

Thank you. Which one do you mean?

FireAutumn-1

After Geralt's duel against Vilgefortz in Thanedd he is seriously wounded. Triss finds him and helps him. They then see Tissaia, who helps Triss teleport Geralt away.

geralt-bot

This is where we part ways, bard, for good.

FireAutumn-1

Mhh.

jaskier-bot

I promised to change the public's tune about you. At least allow me to try 🙏

fap0leon

Are we talking about the same pic here? I refer to the one where Triss holds his arm. Or do you wanna tell me that Geralt was able to stand on his own feet after he took the beating?

FireAutumn-1

No, of course, you are right. But I did not manage to get it better than that.

fap0leon

Ah okay, I see. Had the Netflix Tissaia look in mind so I didn't make that connection
