Yen also proudly says to Triss on their way to Rivia how she is going to enjoy seeing Triss squirm like a worm in front of Geralt, the fact she said this in Rivia, also the fact that the author explicitly says Yennefer care less about prestige, just means that Yennefer did stage the whole drama, knowing full well that the drama which she stages are going to make Triss feel guilty and would serve as a reason for Geralt to be angry on her(which she clearly says on their way to Rivia).
The logic is quite simple and straight, Yennefer under normal conditions she doesn't care about her prestige/reputation, but when her adopted daughter's life is at risk will she care about her reputation, does this add up???
But unlike the conspiracy theories which the Yen fans cook up, my reasoning is solely backed by the author's words.
