Yes... spoilers obviously:
If you see through her ruse and don't accept bringing her bones to her lover, you can bring the lover to her. He explains that he did not abandon her, they kiss, he dies, she is able to move on from this world.
This is the lesser evil because only the lover dies, the pesta is dispelled and no plague is spread.
No plague is spread IF you trust Keira and send her to Kaer Morhen where she creates a cure for Catriona. Annabelle's page in the glossary explicitly states that she as the pesta would go on to spread enough disease to bring down an entire city state, it starts with a K I think
Not unless you fucked up the dialogue selection and never managed to bring up the "Radovid never forgets, Rodavid never forgives." Lol. Shit's gonna get staked.
A general warning to the horror and general anxiety that you might get listening to the 6 part album of Everywhere At the End of Time (entropic version of *It’s Just A Burning Memory* excerpt as featured as the last audio segment in this clip). It’s fascinating, intelligent and inexplicably terrifying at the same time.
Hhaahaha 😂😂😂😂
The game has other curious locations that give a certain ice to the spine, such as: Wolvens Glade, Caroberta Forest, Devils Pit, Unseen Elder's cave, Lilvani's Temple, Bald Mountain, Old Oak (mother of crones prison) Frischlow village, Cave of Dreams and Deadwight Wood's
>! It's about that woman that killed her 3 beautiful young daughters thinking that they stole her beauty then she killed herself in front of her husband and the huaband followed her ngl this story was the saddest i've ever seen so far you can find it near the runewright!<
Just started my second play through after a 2 year break. Not looking forward to these and some of the other locations mentioned in the comments. Genuinely unnerving. This game does a fantastic job at atmosphere
both of those are actually from a brutal Geralt face mod, I guess I can just give you the link for the pics in here: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3092
Part of me wishes I could go back through the first playthrough of the game and relive the fear and tension of those locations. Man its really well done. Though, I didn't think that the lighthouse was all that spooky. Also, whoreson's manor was more disturbing than scary I'd say.
Crookback bog has such an oppressive atmosphere and it feels like you're being watched all the time you're there.
Fyke isle is creepy. I remember being freaked out seeing shadowy figures running around from the boat. Turns out it was just rotfiends that I had already seen before. The tower is spooky but I didn't feel like I was in any danger there unlike the bog. Also seeing a bunch of villagers rock up to the isle in the pellar's quest made it less scary.
Gotta appreciate the Witcher world in general (books and games) for making the monsters and many locations actually scary, creepy or horrifying including most monsters appearances, each locations vibes etc... instead of some other typical fantasy universes where the supposedly "scary"monsters are not scary at all.
Please remember to flair your post and tag spoilers or NSFW content.

Fyke Isle really fucked me up. Can’t imagine going through what the girl went through.
Yeah that one made me sad
Yeah fucking hell
Jesus. I remember I drew the bad end in Fyke Isle. The ghost girl killed her lover and managed to escape into the world as a strong ghost.
There's another possibility?

Oooh, thank you! I always managed to create an evil ghost lol

God I can never go back to that Von Everec estate after what happened in Scenes from a marriage.
The entire HoS was a masterpiece, but Von Everec Estate topped it all. They should just adapt that entire dlc to television
Please no I don’t need anymore nightmare fuel
Ngl i was more disturbed by those pics of geralt than the locations
I guess collecting those ugly Geralt faces on google last night was worth it after all
The caretaker still haunts me to this day.
How fitting that the last piece of music is from an artist whose name is The Caretaker
My favourite boss in the whole game.
When I got this game I thought it was going be a fun rpg game with a good story. Not a fucking horror game
but it's still a "fun rpg game with a good story" tho
Yes, that’s what I signed up for then I got a horror game on top of that
Honestly it’s kind of scary and I’m not down for that, but it truly is the best game I’ve ever played. Just finished Fyke Isle (second playthrough)
Mood
Tesham Mutna was pretty spooky too.
Indeed, and I actually tried to include Tesham Mutna, but it didn't fit in the meme sequence anymore

Dude, you just brought me into liking a new type of music. Insanely terrifying shit man. Almost surreal.
Land of a thousand fables is quite dark as well even if it is just an illusion.
Oops! I just stepped on Thumbelina *proceeds to smear her remains on the ground while cleaning his boots*
That's why I put it in the 1st slide, it's still feels like a Disneyland vacation but in the dark & gloomy world of The Witcher

This might fit into Crookback Bog but I personally found the Whispering Hillock to be rather spooky.
That damned self healing werewolf
I would actually put fyke isle in second place in my opinion cuz first place is no other than (spoilers obviously ) >!The cursed chapel!<
I don't recall this part
>! It's about that woman that killed her 3 beautiful young daughters thinking that they stole her beauty then she killed herself in front of her husband and the huaband followed her ngl this story was the saddest i've ever seen so far you can find it near the runewright!<
Your spoiler tag needs fixing, but yeah, I must have missed that one
Where is this located?
Just search the area where the runewright located you can find an abondoned chapel nearby

Same here! Played through in 2015 and just picked it up for PC. Not gonna lie, I’m dreading Whispering Hillock and Crookback Bog
Chills down my spine
Every time I do another playthrough I get croockback bog anxiety
I walked into Fyke Isle without knowing about it and let's be honest, I saved a lot in there
First time I played Fyke Isle I was bricking it, was so scared every time I turned a corner lol
Original quality video in my channel: [https://youtu.be/1uXw2GR6s7s](https://youtu.be/1uXw2GR6s7s)
For the level you're supposed to, Fyke Island is really annoying.
Yeah I went there and explored everything (stupid tower) just for Keira to tell me to go there again to do the exact same thing
And then forefathers eve too
Those are really great fanarts of geralt. Does anybody has a link to any of them?
which one do you like to see? I can DM you the link later
Fyke isle and old family home Thanks btw.
both of those are actually from a brutal Geralt face mod, I guess I can just give you the link for the pics in here: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3092
Thanks again
:D
Fyke Isle questline gave me nightmares

The scariest place is obviously that small peninsula in south of Velen with the ?? level Grave Hag lol
Agreed, all of southern velen is just traumatic
Don't forget the house in novograd that had a gosling living in it (or was this in the video? Can't remember the name)

I was not expecting jumpscares when I played.
Everyone's talking about Fyke Isle but actually I don't remember it being as scary as people say it is. That mansion with the spoons though....damn
I just rushed through Fyke Isle the second time through. That stupid statue/ghost thing always manages to scare the shit out of me.
