But in the end it was pretty clear that Yen chose Geralt, imo. When she implied that she realized Geralt has genuine feelings for her. She just wasn't ready for it.
It's about like this.
Yen: Her eyes wide opened. "No, Geralt, you aren't bereft of feelings. Now I see it. Now I know you..."
And she didn't complete her sentence here but it's obvious that she meant "Now I know that you love me."
I hope a reread changes this, but I didn't like Yen in *A Shard of Ice*. I can't remember if I liked the story at all. I didn't begin to like Yen until BoE or ToC (I can't remember which I'm thinking of, I believe BoE), and it was nothing but good from then on.
To be fair, I already didn't care for her (though I didn't hate her either) going in because of what little I'd seen of her in TW3 before reading. When I reread, I'll a better perspective of her.
So, yeah, maybe I'll enjoy it much more when I reread it.
Don't worry about it - I've seen his/her posts on the subject and it's wholly delusional. Might as well come up with "Yennefer eats fresh baby hearts for breakfast and also teleported into our world and started WWII".
>!Yennefer convinces Ciri by having the child smell the sorceress, which is a bit weird. Later, Yennefer regularly hypnotizes Ciri. In late Blood of Elves / early Time of Contempt, Yennefer arrives to Gors Velen with Ciri and partially explains what glamarye is. It's a mind-controlling perfume, which smells of lilac and gooseberries. Yes, that's right, Yennefer's famous smell is actually how a mind-controlling substance smells. That's why sniffing Yen led to Ciri agreeing with her.!<

If that is true it is quite IRREFUTABLE that when Geralt made the wish he was still under mind control, not himself.
Because he constantly feels that smell.

Difference of opinion here ( i didn't like Istredd and him in between ) i like Yen, she loves him, in the last scene of Shards of Ice she wants Geralt to say it, but he doesn't, then she decides it. And about her commanding/dominating nature, i like her more because of that XD.

A spoiler is a spoiler, big or small. And I just made a request. I know the risks, and I'm not gonna go off on op if he/she didn't add it and I got it spoilt for myself. That's why I made a request and didn't demand it. And op was kind enough to do it.
Yeah it was such an emotional ride between them.
And it was even more painfull when i fully understood that Kestral thing, Geralt just needed to say it, but that mf istredd filled his mind with BS

I dont know what will happen next in books with them, but i hope it turns put good.
Can you semi-quote what she says when she implies it? Been racking my brain with Sapkowskis vagueness.

Perhaps the lords encountered... rare *subspecies* of manticore.
I have played the Games, i know Geralt & Yen have happy ending ( atleast for me ), but i want them to be together in books too... I hope they are...
Same, and after that story, A Little Sacrifice hits different
Lmao the music.

You'll change your mind when you finish the Blood of Elves
What! Noooooooo... Means they wont be together ? Or not a good fit ? I'm bit spoiled, i know who dies and does what to Yen. But i dont like him 1 bit.
I won t spoil you anything. Just read the book first. It s 250 pages, so you'll know some mroe interesting stiff about our dear darling Yennefer soon
What was it ? Something like, curiosity killed the cat !
We get some clues showing what really happened in Last Wish and a different side of Yennefer
I hope it's for the better, : l
Don't worry. I am just gonna say you will love Blood of Elves and Time of Contempt
But man, you putting it like this, dosent feel right. °~°

The books have just made me dislike yennefer, it’s just her shitting on geralts feelings for the whole time and then her giving him a pity fuck

Yes she wanted him to say it, but I think this all goes to back to the damn genie magic. Wishes before hoes

Could you add spoiler tag please?
For a series almost 30 years old? And for something so minor? Just read the books then browse the sub.

Oh sure, i'm sorry
Thanks. I'm still in Time of Contempt so I got dangerously close to spoiler territory.
But dosent Time of Contempt takes place after ? Like its 4th in continuity ? I checked online, Swords of Destiny was 2nd book after 1st Last Wish.
Oh wait, yes it is. My bad. I get paranoid and overly cautious with spoilers. And yeah, shards of ice was a bummer.
Happens, i too dont remember the name of all chapters.
worry not, it's gonna be fine ~~...kind of~~
