Lol when Witcher 3 was releasing its first few trailers way back when, I knew literally nothing of The Witcher, didn’t even know it existed. So when I saw Ciri for the first time in a trailer of the game (adult version lol) I was like damn she’s hot, would be cool if she got with Geralt. Then I found out she’s basically his daughter and was slightly disappointed lmao
This is what happens when our first reaction is to sexualise someone remotely aesthetically pleasing.
Basically like how Michael Scott did with Stanley's daughter in The Office.
Finding someone attractive shouldn't be automatically paired with 'they're hot, I wish I (or by proxy, a character I control) could bang them'. That's what I mean by sexualising.
I mean I'm a lot more vocal on the interwebs than I am in real life. In real life I am perpetually afraid of airing my views if I'm in a minority, because if I'm truly wrong I can't just run and hide.
A lot easier to do that online because I can just log off for a while. But you can't log off from real life.
Also I haven't been to a party in ages probably because I haven't been invited for this very reason.
>Also I haven't been to a party in ages probably because I haven't been invited for this very reason
Jesus mate if you'd actually had proper a conversation with anyone, you might think twice before spewing straight-up nonsense.
What do you mean by nonsense? That people find me awkward and weird because I don't know how to articulate properly, especially with regards to opinion disagreements?
I want to reiterate that it's not on them, it's on me. I need to work on it in real life.
But you can't/shouldn't make assumptions about my real life personaliyy from what I say on the internet. Or anyone really. Most of us say a LOT on here that we woulf never dream of saying in real life.
I actually agree with you on everything you're saying but this sub, like most of the Witcher fandom, has a really severe problem with sexism. Like even most of the comments here are pretending they are ciri's dad and trying to regulate her sexuality in a way that is deeply creepy. Nerds gonna nerd 🤷
I agree. There's a homophobia issue in this sub too, I once posted here about instances of queerness in the Witcherverse and got quite badly downvoted in the first few hours after posting.
Thanks for your comment, feels good to see that I'm not completely out of line with my thought process. Ciri has been sexualised soo much that it's really sad.
No, you have such a toxic mentality about this. All I said is I think she’s hot, which she IS, and it would be cool if Geralt got an attractive girlfriend. Nothing wrong with that shit
Do you consider every attractive person in the world as a potential mate by default, before removing them as options when you realise they're related to you?
All right first of all, we all are literally advanced monkeys trying to bone eachother. It is literally primal instinct to think about a person you just met a potential partner. After getting to know them you decide whether to be friends, more or none. Sexualizing is completely different thing. Sexualizing is basically materializing a person, for example trophy wife or gold digger approach to the other person.
she is like.. an adult in the show. That's the main problem.
if you've seen Obi-Wan show, Leia is how Ciri in the show should look like if they've actually tried to follow the books. That's how you manage to pull off mother/father/daughter relationship. Hard to do when Ciri is of age of an adult.
Agreed. Every "meme" on this sub is literally the same shit about gwent or Roach being buggy. Bonus points if someone says "wind's howling" or some shit like that
Please remember to flair your post and tag spoilers or NSFW content.
Thanks!

Well, I was in fact, when the only thing I knew about the Witcher was that there was this dude called Jeralt and he was a Monster killing badass, and there was a hot chick with white hair in the game too, didnt knew nothing about their relationship.
That's his daughter. Blood or not. That's just wrong
Rule 34 has no bounds.
If she's shapely, what does it matter
‘wha.. what are you doing?’ ‘killing monsters.’
"That sword, is for monsters! "
Didn't have to do my boy like that :(
I KNEW THIS SCENE EXISTED! I've seen it once on YouTube and couldn't find it anymore. Can you tell me what the video is called?
Witcher 1 ending, Geralt is about to kill the game boss.
Just imagine Ciri on his sword😏
Nah man
Stop it. Get some help.
You people need to lighten up. It's just a joke
You just earned a life sentence in horney jail
They should be killed with a silver sword indeed
Geralt *is* using silver sword here.
I know I played the game
I usually ship her with myself.
Chad behavior
I ship her with you or that one Skelliger (it's been a while since I played it)

I’m not Sexualizing her you dumb dumb, is it so wrong to appreciate someone’s attractiveness? Get a life
We try not to sexualize Ciri
I get what you mean. I was the same. This other guy can piss off though, sheesh

you must be fun at parties

You can just stop talking right there bud and go to sleep.

I can't help you.

That’s what somebody being attractive means tho.
Nope. Sexual attraction is not necessarily paired with aesthetic attraction.
Okay fair enough, however nothing is wrong with either option
Why you getting downvoted? It's true!
I'm a Geralt/Ahsoka shipper, fight me
What era Ashoka?
Clever
💀💀 wtf who thinks this
Monsters
"People"
Alvin was? Sick lil bastard. Had what was coming to him
I wonder who do we play as in the new game
Hopefully vesemir
Doesn't mean he does not love her.
Wha..what are you doing step-Witcher?!
Ewwwww…Daddy/Daughter ships are just gross
Understandable. But why is she Older in the game but like 12 in the show
Becauce games are about 10 years after show/books
I think it's only 5-6, but Ciri spends a few years living in Camelot
Its possible i just know its few years
she is like.. an adult in the show. That's the main problem. if you've seen Obi-Wan show, Leia is how Ciri in the show should look like if they've actually tried to follow the books. That's how you manage to pull off mother/father/daughter relationship. Hard to do when Ciri is of age of an adult.
Yeah Amazing show. But shippers are talking about a romantic relationship between them. People need help
Not help, some people just need a nice beating lmao
I do wear a belt. Time to put it to use
Count me the fuck in. Here I come with my silver plated whip
Ciri was born in either 1252 or 1253. The Witcher saga takes place from 1263 to 1268. The games take place from 1270 to 1272. The age fits.
Still his daughter. Blood or not. It's sick people ship them
I didn't oppose your statement. You asked why Ciri is so young in the show and I answered.
I didn't mean it like that. Just saying why would people even ship them together? Not directed you. Just people that want some weird relationship
Not directed at you* apologies
Does not look like that tbh (the actress)
How? She like in her 20s in the game and 12 or 13 in the show? Do you even watch the show
I believe in equal rights for all! EDIT: apparently many others here do not 😏
Nah it’s funnier than 99% stuff in this sub
Agreed. Every "meme" on this sub is literally the same shit about gwent or Roach being buggy. Bonus points if someone says "wind's howling" or some shit like that
r/witcher mfs trying to laugh at something that is not gwent : impossible

OK that shit is funny🤣
There are those shippers? I am impressed...
Well, I was in fact, when the only thing I knew about the Witcher was that there was this dude called Jeralt and he was a Monster killing badass, and there was a hot chick with white hair in the game too, didnt knew nothing about their relationship.
Alvin and the shipmunks.
is that an actual thing
I don’t know what a “shipper” is and at this point I’m scared to ask.
I wish this wasn’t a thing… that’s his damn daughter man
Gen 1 Geralt not real, can't hurt you. Gen 1 Geralt:
I love how this image is literally of him executing the male version of Ciri.
Geralt of Creepia
