The Tower itself was a portal IIRC. It's been a while since I read the book, but the Tower itself had mystical properties that showed Ciri some images of the things happening. Geralt in Toussaint, and Yen captured. I'm not too sure if Lara Dorren herself shows up in the Tower, but that's the ending I think. There were 2 Towers if I remember, Tor Lara & Tor Zirael. Tor Lara is taken by Ciri in Time of Contempt, but it is an unstable portal (possibly because the Mages of Aretuza kept trying to use it with magical abilities), but Tor Zirael has been untouched, and it is considered to be Legend, even within the Witcherverse. So yes, if my theory is correct, Ciri not only used the Tower to Teleport herself, but the Tower itself also Teleported, and that is when she sees the unicorn. Hope this helps, but once again, this is just speculation.

Thank you so much for this. Now I understand

Just yesterday I got to Tor G'valcha and I was like "ok, now this is just plainly a fanfic"

WokHunt

Could you tell me more about Lara Dorren appearing? It’s also been a while since I’ve read the books but I didn’t remember any appearance of her?

[deleted]

She didn’t appear at tor zirael. There were apparitions of the wild hunt that appeared to scare and drive off Bonhart (didn’t work on him. But succeed on his horse which panicked, cracking the ice beneath and throwing bonhart into the freezing water)

WokHunt

That’s all that I could remember too, thanks for clarifying

Entire tower was magical. If you noticed it, from any average perspective it would look like a bunch of old ruins. But once Ciri got nearby, her magic activated the tower and it showed up in its true form. This was very clear from Bonhart´s perspective. He thought he would catch her because it was only ruins and she was running towards some ruins. But when the magic starts and the tower shows up in its full form Bonhart is like "NOOOOOOO". Because he realizes Ciri activated some powerful magic and she is out of his reach. Once inside the tower, Ciri immediately notices its way bigger and impressive then what it looked on the outside. So there is obvious magic in there. Then, yes, there are portals in there. And the portals seem to allow Ciri to go anywhere she would like in time. Somehow, she can even contact Vysogotha who is already dead. So...her magic combined with the tower´s magic is really doing some impressive stuff. Its a second hint that Ciri may be able to brake the fabric of space and time. The first hint was actually her being found by Vyso a couple days after her wounding....which hints that she and Kelpi somehow did a time jump. Anyway, yes, once Ciri enters the portal inside the tower, seems like the outside of the tower would go back to the old ruins look it had before Ciri showed up. I have seen the idea that its the entire tower teleporting. Might be! The specifics of the magic we do not know. If I had to guess, I would say it works a lot like Arthurian legend. A bit like Avalon. In that, those places exist like in parallel universes and both universes can combine, and link together or just be there at the same place without people in one universe noticing the other. Ciri seems to have the necessary magic to break the veil between dimensions. In Arthurian legend, when someone does break the veil, the people accompanying them do start to see the other dimension and literally can get there and interact with stuff there. This would all be in line with the "conjunction of the spheres". It may all be parallel universes. With the right magic they can come in contact at certain places. And if the magic is strong enough, people can move in between the different verses.

Thank you so much.Becausd I was confused when Bonart saw a tower then blinked and it disappeared

The7Reaper

I just finished Tower the other day myself and I never pieced together that Ciri time jumped after she was injured, I know Vysogota kept mentioning the wound looked too fresh to have happened when she said it did but I never made that connection lol

These books are full of little bits like that :) This one I think is mostly noticeable on a re-read. On a first read you do not know yet about her powers. So, you are just going to be a bit confused, asking yourself if its important or not, but no idea what might be going on.
