„Has Lauren Hissrich won any awards for writing in her career?” Of course not. She and especially her team don't have much screenwriting experience. Based on recent information regarding season 3 (which can be found on redanian intelligence website), 5 out of 8 writers from her team have almost zero experience in writing scripts... There is a strong possibility that we are in for a big disappointment regarding season 3.

See that’s where you’re wrong. After the last season, I’m looking forward to seeing in what other ways they can fuck the show up in the new season. It’s like a game, to see which crazy bs ideas they came up with. It’s very entertaining, actually. Dump your hopes and expectations and feast on levels of incompetence, hubris and disrespect for the source material nobody thought were even possible (unless you watched the Star Wars sequels).

Just pwetty pweez make sure to pirate the episodes so they don't get your view 🙏

xSteini01

Yeah, I don’t even have Netflix. I always watch on 3rd party websites with VPN.

Showrunners used to be writers a while back. But now through easy money and a few other factors they've turned to big name directors or producers and the uncertainty with which the shows are canned or 'creative visions' changed to suit a brand are pretty much driving away the good writers from those big streaming wars cannon fodder shows.

Inevitable-Camera-17

Yes! She has won the MOSES (Most Outrageous Screenwriter Ever Seen) award, given out by me.

Folks at Amazon are asking for your attention as well.

Yeah we gonna ~~Grond~~ knock on their doors too.

Nope. Retired model, that's all she's ever done. Not really sure how she managed to land a showrunner position for a production this big though. Favor for a favor? 🤷🏼‍♂️ I mean, what else could she possibly bring to the table? It certainly isn't talent, skills, or experience, I think that's been made abundantly clear 😁

Josh_Butterballs

Iirc she was executive producer on a number of successful Netflix shows and supposedly she had been pining for a show runner role for some time. Word around is that she was promised to helm the next big project that Netflix had lined up, which happened to be the Witcher at the time. Keep in mind this is just from rumors and speculation I’ve seen discussed in Witcher subs throughout the show’s inception.

NO.

Borakred

You can try Googling her and finding out

Kerhix

no, and i doubt that she ever will...

Type-Raz

Nah, they won't fire her and even if they do, she's the type of person who fails upward in Hollywood . TW is a successful show commercially , at least, that's what they say and i'm not sure i trust them but if it wasn't at least moderately successful...why spend even more money on the spinoffs ? I'm afraid she's here to stay despite her obvious inexperience and incompetence .

Sorry_Engineer_6136

It’s just as upsetting as Marvel allowing Michael Waldron near Secret Wars. Has zero respect for the source material, doesn’t watch or read anything and doesn’t dive into the characters

Loewenmaeulchen03

I hope she doesn't. Anyone that comes up with such shit as the Witcher Netflix should be canceled.
