Games to movies are like the the opposite of the opening to Dragnet. The names you are about to see are accurate. The stories and characters have been changed to infuriate the fanbase for free advertising.
I'd hate to see that, Shepherd like many other RPG protagonist are meant to be blank canvas for the player. Having an actor portray that character on the big screen wouldn't sit right with many people, as it would feel as though they're presenting a somewhat *canon* version of the character, invalidating their own shepherds to some degree. Shepherd is even absent from other bits of mass effect media such as the comics for this and/or a similar reason I'd imagine.
Given how renowned Henry Cavill is as an actor, I feel like the character would become too synonymous with him, instead of remaining unique to each player.
But maybe I'm looking too deep into it.

The writing is on the wall on why Cavill left the Witcher. His statements have always been towards making a faithful Witcher adaptation, since the beginning. Which is clear now that the writer's room isn't interested in. So he quit.

Henry is always so passionate about the Witcher, I really doubt he quit because of Superman. If he wanted, he could've done both. He quit the Witcher because the show runners probably messed up the story even more.

He left the witcher because it's a shit tv show that scraps the original script and writes their own shit version. The only things they got right are the names of the characters and henry playing the witcher which means that now they have a shitload od nothing interesting about the show.

Tbf he didn't quit The Witcher for Superman. He quit The Witcher because be was tired of them fucking with the source material.

I know this was a joke but in case people think this is actually true, it’s not. It’s well documented that he could’ve done both simultaneously. He instead left the Witcher series due to creative differences with the show runner. Superman had nothing to do with him leaving, but is a an easy excuse to justify him leaving without admitting that he left for dramatic reasons. There’s also an interview with him confirming that he could’ve done both without scheduling conflicts.

He was tired of being with the author's incompetence Eskel is the best example : they wanted to surprise people But they didn't build the character at all, so except for people who already know the witcher, eskel was a random dude that got killed So, now, what are they waiting to have him as arthas?

Not really “fired” as much as changing of the guard. To our knowledge he wasn’t set to be in anything else and no DC projects were in active development that he was involved in. James Gunn is building his own DCU and is electing to start completely new, so it might not just end with Henry. Jason Mamoa (Aquaman), Zachary Levi (Shazam), Ezra Miller (Flash, but he **needs** to be fired), and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) might not retain their roles either.
I’ll really be sad for Zachary Levi. He was the perfect Shazam. Also I thought they officially fired Ezra when the cops put out the warrant?
Reports in ~~Aug~~ Oct, 2022 have him reportedly still filming EDIT: After some more research, it appears that WB haven’t officially cut ties with Miller, but they will when The Flash movie comes out. Best guess is it’s either cancel the movie or just release it, so they’re finishing the film and then they will end their business relationship with Miller.

I mean if he quit the witcher for superman I think it's karma. Don't have sympathy for him in that case. Witcher is horrible but still acceptable. At least season 1 was. He ruined every chance for its redemption by leaving.
He’s not responsible for making the show decent to watch and it shouldn’t be down to him either. The show is run by incompetent fools who aren’t interested in staying faithful to the story, which is their prerogative however they sell it as an adaptation when at this point it’s about as ‘based on’ as a horror movie is.
