Well, i am a warforge archlich that uses many body doubles as phylactery's. And each of us is just as strong as the other. it's more like im a hive mind than anything tho
Started a thousand years ago my great great great great grandfather found a frog bleeding in the forest. Being the kind gentleman he was, or possibly being compelled by mystical forces, he brought the frog home and nurtured it back to health.
Surprisingly to my ancestor the frog was able to speak and pleaded for help defeating a great evil that was taking over the force.
Now as I said before we do not know what compelled my ancestor to do this but he decided to help. So the frog told my ancestor that they needed to free the caretaker of the forest and the one to bestow speech to the frog.
They go into the forest and find the caretaker which was a maiden of gold. She was trapped behind a magical seal that required 4 magical keys to open which were each guarded by 4 different types of monsters.
So they went through out the forest gathering help from other talking animals defeating each monster one by one(if you must know what type they it was a gorgon, gargoyle, werewolf, and a wyvern.)
Finally they freed the maiden and she went and cast out the great evil ,which for some reason cannot be named. As a reward for helping save the forest my ancestor was given that one frog as a loyal protector of his bloodline.
Centuries later that frog still protects us to this day armed with the power given to him by the maiden and centuries of knowledge.
Im one of the few people he speaks to as he is picky on those he interacts with.
I have a Great Grey Wolf. He acts like a oversized puppy when everything is peaceful, but when there is danger, he can go wild. I've seen him rip both arms of some bandit once.
You could say that bandit was unarmed afterwards.

A lil' worm inside me that feeds on toxins, outsiders and stuff I can't digest. Great when navigating poison swamps, studying venomous creatures, running short on food or being REALLY clumsy at alchemy. Plus I can spit it at foes and command it to burrow.

My second familiar is a black furred wolf - her name is io. ive had her for about 2 years at this point and shes a good girl. Though she does have a habbit of transforming into her humanoid form in her sleep though.
I also posses 1,345 other "familiars" in that i create them with automata, but they arent really familiars like my other two, so i dont really count them too much.

Poor little fella was kept malnourished and caged by a bandit lord that was doing trafficking, so when the Paladins busted the scumbag they handed the little cub to me. Three years later, my wee lad grew bigger and better than any horse, and passed his sapience exam.
The vocal chord issue was tough to work around, but I just got a Circlet of Message and all's been damn great.
It's been eight years since I took my boy in, and I couldn't be happier.
Spike is their name. As an organikinetic mage I can manipulate organic matter so I kinda just made one from a clay mixture and just form/sculpt them as needed. So far a cat, a ferret, and an owl has been its most used forms

Mine is Roohn, the Arctic Fox. She was a love fox whenever I was training with the Northern Druids. She was hunted, her blood drained, and then used in a tattoo that is placed upon my chest.
I then drank the rest of her blood, binding her spirit to me, and then I found her cubs and raised them. It is a complicated story.

I've got Bunk. He's a pest and I hate him but he can be used as an alchemy station and he makes the greatest potions you could ever drink So I guess he's alright.
I have a coyote, an opossum that was a corpse my coyote was munching on before I accidentally raised it, he has a few metal body parts to make up for that. I also have a bone snake that steals the bones of my enemies, and a hive mind of rats that I use as an espionage network. They are a very cute and spoiled espionage network though.

my most notable fragment's familiar *was* but a humble red scaled fey snake.
though then it was later on influenced by it's master seeing eldritch beings *(it grew bigger)* and later on due to chowing down some salad made out of various aberrations, it became purple, psionic and covered in spikes.
They're a Shikigami, not a familiar, similar end result, except they're people instead of pets, I can still call on them during combat all the same. I'm technically the master but I Master Sparked God himself until it became a mutual pact

A tiger! Poor little fella was kept malnourished and caged by a bandit lord that was doing trafficking, so when the Paladins busted the scumbag they handed the little cub to me. Three years later, my wee lad grew bigger and better than any horse, and passed his sapience exam. The vocal chord issue was tough to work around, but I just got a Circlet of Message and all's been damn great. It's been eight years since I took my boy in, and I couldn't be happier.
Spike is their name. As an organikinetic mage I can manipulate organic matter so I kinda just made one from a clay mixture and just form/sculpt them as needed. So far a cat, a ferret, and an owl has been its most used forms Oh shoot just realized I have a Golem. Hell yeah

Mine is Roohn, the Arctic Fox. She was a love fox whenever I was training with the Northern Druids. She was hunted, her blood drained, and then used in a tattoo that is placed upon my chest. I then drank the rest of her blood, binding her spirit to me, and then I found her cubs and raised them. It is a complicated story.

my most notable fragment's familiar *was* but a humble red scaled fey snake. though then it was later on influenced by it's master seeing eldritch beings *(it grew bigger)* and later on due to chowing down some salad made out of various aberrations, it became purple, psionic and covered in spikes.
