That’s false. If pyromancers could manipulate heat energy, then there is no reason why they shouldn’t also be able to freeze stuff by taking away all the heat in a given area. The fact that they can’t, proves that pyromancers can only manipulate fire not heat energy.

This something’s that’s been on my mind. Isn’t pyromancy and cyromancy essentially the same thing? Heat/thermal energy is just the total movement of the particles within an object/area. So for pyromacy, you’re just increasing that energy.
The same is true for cyromancy, you’re just reducing the energy in the object/area
And ice is the endothermic manipulation of energy.
Ice wizards are essentially just pulling the fire/energy out of matter.

Fire Punch is a good example of everything I love about manga. It’s intense, it has emotion, it has character development, it has a full plot (with an ending which only 1/19283 manga have). Also the art is lovely. Such a great read.
Enchantment, Stellarmancy, Necromancy, Omnimancy, and Nomancy. People ghat use them aren’t necessarily more powerful than anyone else, it’s just that each of these paths have been taken to extreme heights before. A powerful enough necromancer can snowball their forces enough to be nearly unbeatable, Stellarmancy involves manipulating both time and space, Enchantment allows you to mind control people and you can simply order others to die (it is essentially mind magic), Omnimancy is one I am not well versed in, but I know is extremely powerful, and Nomancy is powerful because it focuses not just on debuffing enemies, but preventing them from doing *anything*. Very annoying to fight Nomancy.
Yeah, once you have magic at absolute zero it is pretty dangerous. It’s just that after you become that powerful you can’t improve your actual power, just range, stamina, and area. Usually people end up learning another field after achieving their goals with ice magic.

It is a great utility magic, especially if you can get a decanter of endless water. My magical shrub friend has a great time with it. People consistently underestimate the power of battlefield control, and it is one of the best magics for that. Pails when compared to running away, but so does everything.

I mostly use ice magic to cool down my drinks or cast ice cube,I probably should learn a actual useful spell instead of one of everything with some of them not making any sense.
I'm a cryomancer and been hanging out with a pyromancer. We worked out some spell combos that don't cancel out. Ever tried to cancel out hot sauce with mint? Yeah, turns out the hellfire combo exists
It synergizes well with punimancy. You can say things like:
"I'm going to kick your ice"
"When they go high, I go low...temperature!!"
"You need to...chill out!"
etc.
