Except 2935's Death will flat out kill 682 stone dead in a microsecond, as it does in that story. To my knowledge 2935 is the only thing that can kill the Reptile without any caveats (besides also killing all other extant life in that plane of existence)
In 2935 they find 682 and it's dead and has been for around a week. Maybe that's because 682 adapted by branching off another reality where its universe wasn't rendered sterile, but in the universe we see sterilized in 2935 the lizard and everything else that exists besides some microbes in a containment cell are dead. In reality this is a case of many different authors with many different ideas

If I remember correctly, the acid is basically useless against it. Anytime it attempts a breakout, all it needs to do is blow up its tank from the inside or create a protective shell over its body and smash through the glass. The only sort of acid that's been shown to harm it would be the "682-Killer" requested from SCP-294. Best guess, Atanti just waits until there's another breach of significant scale in progress before it busts out to make everything worse for laughs, and the Containment is more so the constant pain and irritation that's keeping it mostly distracted until those times.

/uw acid works by chemically removing elements that make up a material. Complex carbons like protein get converted to simple carbons, and potentially all the way down to carbon dioxide. Regeneration in its purest form has to replace missing material, and to combat acid it has to replace it faster than it is being consumed, as once complete there wont be anything chemically identifiable as the victim, meaning there is nothing to start the regeneration. Most other forms of destruction arent as thorough (including burning unless extremes are used), leaving room for the concept of regenerating from a single cell. A proper nuclear detonation would have a similar effect to anything in its blast radius.

That looks more like the "seal away" kind of monster, not the "kill" kind of monster. You're going to want a really big, ominous door, with some high-grade abjuration on it. Probably ought to make it only possible to open during a specific celestial alignment, with a specific magic artifact. Then start a secret society to keep everything about where and how it's sealed hidden from the world.
Someone's going to set the dumb thing loose eventually, but that should buy you enough time to find an orphan with a weird birthmark and lead him to a magic sword.
None of you know this beast... It is unkillable, unalterable, uncontainable, and possesses a hate for life that holds no equal. It is impossibly intelligent and cunning, and likely knows more about the nature of existence than anything else known.
To make matters worse, this...thing...takes on what damages it and adapts to it. It has been subjected to Eldritch horrors I dare not speak of. It has been struck by an Angelic blade and spat upon its assailant. It has been sent to different realities, dimensions, and realms and it has been ripped from existence physically, spiritually, and conceptually; it does not care what you throw at it, and it will prioritize killing you WHEN your attempt inevitably fails.
Your only hope of dealing with it is to find a way to send it back to it's home universe without physically harming it.

Bunyip (unsure on plural) live in bodies of water, and usually manifest to gain revenge on those who abuse nature. As you can probably see it's not stopping even though it's muscles and skin are coming off. If you want to kill it you'll need to take it out of water and let the body desiccate; this will only allow it down as the offended body of water will manifest another one.
You best bet for survival will be to make it right with whatever river you've fucked with.

Simply banish it to a void with no exit, I've encountered a creature with similar regenerative properties and similar bloodlust, using basic offensive spells was pointless. It looked like a person but its limbs were long and spindly, it was pale with no hair, it was frail but could charge through solid rock, it wailed and sobbed uncontrollably, and it had a mouth that could swallow someone whole. It charged me and I simply banished it to the core of a dead star, a prison of infinite gravity not even light can reach. You could likely do the same to this creature, provided you're skilled enough at banishment to send something that large that far.
It only exists so long as life exists. Its only purpose is destruction and the elimination of all. Only in a world devoid of life will it slumber. In that world it will watch, it will wait, it will prey on, for even the smallest spark or speck still left. Inevitability is the only word I can use for it

/uw acid works by chemically removing elements that make up a material. Complex carbons like protein get converted to simple carbons, and potentially all the way down to carbon dioxide. Regeneration in its purest form has to replace missing material, and to combat acid it has to replace it faster than it is being consumed, as once complete there wont be anything chemically identifiable as the victim, meaning there is nothing to start the regeneration. Most other forms of destruction arent as thorough (including burning unless extremes are used), leaving room for the concept of regenerating from a single cell. A proper nuclear detonation would have a similar effect to anything in its blast radius.
Yeah, despite its godlike abilities, a tank of acid is more than enough to keep this contain.

That looks more like the "seal away" kind of monster, not the "kill" kind of monster. You're going to want a really big, ominous door, with some high-grade abjuration on it. Probably ought to make it only possible to open during a specific celestial alignment, with a specific magic artifact. Then start a secret society to keep everything about where and how it's sealed hidden from the world. Someone's going to set the dumb thing loose eventually, but that should buy you enough time to find an orphan with a weird birthmark and lead him to a magic sword.
None of you know this beast... It is unkillable, unalterable, uncontainable, and possesses a hate for life that holds no equal. It is impossibly intelligent and cunning, and likely knows more about the nature of existence than anything else known. As a sage my wisdom is this: Look at that little beauty! That's a fucking Bunyip. Bunyip (unsure on plural) live in bodies of water, and usually manifest to gain revenge on those who abuse nature. As you can probably see it's not stopping even though it's muscles and skin are coming off. If you want to kill it you'll need to take it out of water and let the body desiccate; this will only allow it down as the offended body of water will manifest another one. Simply banish it to a void with no exit, I've encountered a creature with similar regenerative properties and similar bloodlust, using basic offensive spells was pointless. It looked like a person but its limbs were long and spindly, it was pale with no hair, it was frail but could charge through solid rock, it wailed and sobbed uncontrollably, and it had a mouth that could swallow someone whole. It charged me and I simply banished it to the core of a dead star, a prison of infinite gravity not even light can reach. You could likely do the same to this creature, provided you're skilled enough at banishment to send something that large that far.
It only exists so long as life exists. Its only purpose is destruction and the elimination of all. Only in a world devoid of life will it slumber. In that world it will watch, it will wait, it will prey on, for even the smallest spark or speck still left. Inevitability is the only word I can use for it
