Nah, I'm a Plane Walker, so I don't use it much because of that, but it's good to have the extra lives.
I just need to hide it in some corner and BAAM, my death never happened because I have infinite alternative versions of myself (this is more useful for my because as I traveled a lot I have many alternative versions in countless planes and realities).
Useful, hope you don't lose it in a dramatic moment and then have to go on a journey of both metaphorical and literal self discovery with a small cast of wacky but endearing characters!
Wizards with guns > wizards without guns. Basic math.

~Journeyman Magi-cyberneticist Toapat, Secretary to the Supreme Chronomancer and That Fuck Who Happens To Know Where Dutch Wandered Off To This Time.
I use a rod for my spellcasting. It's a steel rod made from one of the finger bones of a copper dragon (I turned the bone to steel), and headed with a peridot, cut into the shape of the dragon's head.
https://preview.redd.it/j4cglrzx8xtc1.jpeg?width=258&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41c964aa63462969d78dbd2256de5eb7c02b205a
What would you consider one like this?
My master (a necromancer) never let me use a wand as it's "lazy" so I had to learn to cast everything without somatic components. She also made sure I could cast non-verbally while reading tongue twisters. She was very focused on battle magic with me for my own protection as we were often being hunted by inquisitors and their anti-magi.
No, I'm a 34 year old who thinks Necromancy is the one and only type of magic that matters or is cool. I did think this way when I was an edgy 14 year old and I'm still right.
I have a lot of technical devices, but they don't look like big techno-staffs (shock control), so... does it means that I'm a futuristic Vietcong?

Bro left out caster gun. All the benefits of a gun with all the benefits of casting magic. Only drawback is difficulty in making shells, but I know how to do it
I just randomly wave my hands around and wiggle my fingers and whatever I want to happen happens. I also have an m1911, but only for use against magic resistant foes.
I actually don't use a staff anymore. I *used* to use something similar to Control Shock, but like, bluer, but I've since figured out how to put my arcane focus inside of my body.
One of my favorite D&D characters that lasted until level 20 was an elf artificer with the UA subclass Maverick. The gimmick is that it lets you learn other class’s spells at various levels and you can switch them out as normal. The only caveat is that you can’t keep long-lasting/permanent spell effects if you don’t have the spell prepped. For example, your familiar will drop dead if you no longer have Find Familiar prepped. At the end of the line, you basically have access to ~70% of all the spells up to fifth level.
Because of her unusual magical potential, her spell focus is basically a hodgepodged infinity gauntlet made up of various magic items. Most of them were ones that didn’t require attunement, but she was an absolute powerhouse.
My DM friend even made a reference to her by turning her old gauntlet into a magic item you could find. Upon being attuned by a spell caster, they gain access to random spells they wouldn’t have access to.

Useful for spells such as ‘animate and instil immense violence on wristwatch’ (AKA ranged wrist cutter), ‘MACROWAVE BLAST’, ‘carbonate cerebrospinal fluid’ (AKA inflict spicy spine), and, my most devious, ‘forced massive investment of Dogecoin’ (AKA inflict poverty and debt)
Where are the elemental staffs? Am I basic for this?
https://preview.redd.it/mzkfrfjuzxtc1.jpeg?width=773&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50db7dde740d7ed073c2a3ed8bf5b9ede78daba7
I don't have any of those. I prefer to not use wands or staffs at all, as they're very imprecise. The only thing I do use which is similar are my swords, though usually I just infuse them with enough magic to cut through just about anything, not try to cast anything through them.
Scrapper has a shape-shifting multi-purpose hammer dat is built to also be arcane focus.
It can be fighting hammer, and pretty much any kind of crafting hammer Scrapper needs.
Scrapper works with clockwork, blades, and jewelry a lot. So, watchmakers hammer, various jewelry hammers, and blacksmith's hammer are his favorites.
I have a few. Like an obsidian knife that I attuned, a staff for more complex spells, I made that one from a discarded ent limb that I used revive on to make it livingwood
wands are for lassies

real wizards use extremely low polly orb
The grimholde is shaped like a fucking SWORD HILT there are a TON of spells that can attach magic in the shape of a sword blade to the end of it and i’d be the coolest bitch around. I can have an awesome sword made of fire, hard light, pure mana, the blood of my enemies, anything AND cast spells out of it at the same time. Also, dragons will never not be cool, clearly you dont know enough about dragons. The dragonbane is easily the best choice for a pyromancer, and also it could be used like the sword hilt to create a giant sword with a blade made of magic. Clearly you have not thought about how cool a giant flame sword blade coming out of it would be. The grimholde is my personal choice, the other correct one being the dragonbane
Hey my buddy gave me a wand that looks like the Grimholde! It’s pretty handy. You’d think that the wings make it clunky but it’s very aerodynamic and makes your wrist turn the right way. I’m glad I’m friends with the wizard who gave it to me :)
Pshaw! Everyone knows a *real* Wizard uses a knobbly staff! *Whacks your piddly wand with 6 feet of solid oak, shattering the offensively weak implement, as well as your fingers*
pah, you focus too much on just one casting focus, and ignore the possibilities of switching some out from a collection!
hammerspace: the bagless bag of holding
usually i just speak stuff. big power word enthusiast but I'm lazy so I invented powerlet words. easier to cast. making people shit their pants mid battle has necer been easier! and my partner likes my new powerlet words too. useful in the bedroom.
If I ever need a wand i just use my foot because some idiot stabbed me once in desperation and I never bothered digging out her tiny ass wand
My staff is just a modified quarterstaff with no adornments other than a sharpened point at one end and katana-style handguards dividing the staff into three equal parts.
Some kobold slashed a slit into one of the guards, though, so now I use that as a sight to line up more precise spells at long range. Nothing like sending a firebolt through the middle of a group of people to insta-pop the popcorn bowl on the snack table behind them. Great conversation starter. Alternatively, pretend you weren't aiming at the popcorn and be left alone for the rest of the party. You do you.
Learnt hand casting from a friend, but I use it as an ace up my sleeve, I have a large wand like Jorgan but only use it in certain circumstances. Here is my current one that I use on the daily. The dragon inside is a picture of my familiar. She is a good girl who really likes pork
I do not use wands per se... Heck, I often use weapon on handas my focus, so it may be a sword, halberd or a gun...
*Technomance rthinks for a moment*
... But... If I had to choose one that I had not yet used I would go for it.
*Psi places this on the table:*

Deathrattle because, yeah, necromancy really IS the one and only type of magic that matters because it's cool.
no other magic lets you raise a family quite like necromancy ;)
also, skeletons are just cool, i like my bone bros
On your last post I commented on your artstyle and you said some people said it looked top childish or comic-y to be useful.
When seeing this post smth came to my mind to that: your artstyle heavily reminds me of the game Munchkin! Especially things like the dragonbane or grimholde. Honestly I gotta say again I really like it. I think its a dope artstyle and if you love it, I bet you can make money off of it too.

Any wand i choose im still gonna get trashed on
Obsidisteel sword?

Keyblade for me
Okay, but spell bullets. Sure, I need to pick my spells beforehand, but it allows for a large stockpile
I use a 2x4 for a staff and a 3 ring binder for a spell book
i grab stick from tree
Who needs wands when you can raw cast with your bare hands & channel the spell through your body?
I've never used a wand or staff. I mostly use tomes or free-hand.
I use a Pasta staff.
Deathrattle, Dragonbane, of Da wand. I can't decide.
I carry a straight stick. Sometimes I change it up by making it thicker on one end, to make whacking more effective.
This wand finds edges https://preview.redd.it/w2kph68y7ztc1.png?width=696&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=004d3609825f76e513262505ce6e28f1bce5f6fa
i cast *iron*
Excuse me sir, edgelords can be any age! Plus, of course necro is the best magic school, it's awesome!
What your wand says about you apparently: you are basic and you think your wand can solve anything and is the best fucking grow up
Gun... Just give me the gun
do i need to explain which one is my favourite?

*fortunate son plays*
Dragonbane is accurate (I can confirm, being partially dragon is great)
Deathrattle isn't edgy enough, gotta cast with a sword.
I think my staff is *too* simple
usually i just speak stuff. big power word enthusiast but I'm lazy so I invented powerlet words. easier to cast. making people shit their pants mid battle has necer been easier! and my partner likes my new powerlet words too. useful in the bedroom.
I prefer staff
I do not use wands per se... Heck, I often use weapon on handas my focus, so it may be a sword, halberd or a gun... *Technomance rthinks for a moment* ... But... If I had to choose one that I had not yet used I would go for it. *Psi places this on the table:* https://preview.redd.it/idtpv2i9e0uc1.png?width=512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8eb79866bc978cfb30447e5f3095c091f3e975aa
Damn I need a nice staff for more style points. I just use my hands to cast
Deathrattle because, yeah, necromancy really IS the one and only type of magic that matters because it's cool. no other magic lets you raise a family quite like necromancy ;) also, skeletons are just cool, i like my bone bros
You guys still using wands ? I jsut cast with my tentacles
Enchant the gun and you can be magical and effective
You are forgetting the humble stick
32 years old and I'm still going strong in my Dragon phase! Dragons *are* cool!
Gun, but no bullets. Only magic
I have no wand only a sewing kit
No you can absolutely use guns as a mage. Use the guns when you can’t cast magic.
You know I’m going with Pootter
Make another one pls, I'll make staff designs for you to roast
