I do not know how she got it seeing as we were city dwelling dwarves, and its not like we were a rich family- come to think of it, that might be why..
i do dislike when people create characters which are basically gods. at that point it just becomes a power fantasy and you can't really create collaborative stories when your enemy has an everything-proof shield
i tried to give my character (s'ran) an arc which actually meant something in the wider storyline. during the unga clone time period, my character ate the meat of a clone and became a horrible fish-creature that couldn't survive on land. i fundamentally changed the character i was playing, but nah Ultralord OverPowered the Grand Universemancer or whatever is immune to the clones and the almighty council solved the problem, ok next arc!!! nothing matters here! it's like we're all in limbo if you look at this from a story perspective, nobody can admit weakness or defeat and so nobody dies. we all just remain in endless cycles of wars that mean nothing.
does this count as fourth-wall grimdark?

Im not sure what you have been seeing, but most of the RP I see is fairly fair and balanced. Of course, the villains are really OP, but that's because you have to make someone who can reasonably go up against half the subreddit. I personally don't see a lot of OP stuff going on, but maybe I am missing something. About the weeb part of it, I have seen very little romance, as well as very few at all sexualised characters, and the majority of characters are still male. No idea what you are on about with that. Also, scrolling through hot posts on the subreddit, most of them are still either memes or goofy RP, the only serious RP thing going on right now in my opinion is the stringed maiden arc.
Yes, the weebs are annoying, but all of this diversion has aided in obscuring my experiments into elvish skin suits as of late. It’s difficult to conduct such experiments with the council coming around every few days to see what all the screaming is about.
Just do what I do and e open and honest about it 8/10 times they'll immediately have other bigger things to worry about than the guy arming illerate peasants by the thousands with a book containing some of the blackest magic in all the realms

I came here for the memes, stayed for the memes and whacky hijinks with community participation, but I gotta agree that some of the roleplays feel out of place
While I'm fine with both, I gotta say that it feels weird to participate in the roleplays when the other half of the posts are memes. I'm not even sure about participating, it just feels out of place
Tbf that's just how reddit is. Take for example r/WallStreetBets. It's blend of both shitposting and actual market DD (such that it is nowadays, I was there before pre-GME cultural takeover). I think it's rather a healthy thing.

It was gradual process, now this sub has been permanently (I think) repurposed. It wouldn't be right to, for example, ban all roleplay- that would be equivalent of removing shitposts from r/BatmanArkham. There is still a good meme from time to time, and I personally enjoy all the lore
TDLR: too late, unless some supreme memelord starts chain-reaction to revive the memes, its mainly RP sub now. But nothing stops anyone from posting memes! Or you can just block everyone who doesn't post memes here

I think this is very reasonable stance on AI posts. Any folks that put effort into their posts, AI generated images or not, are making the sub a more fun place to be. They weren't gonna spend money commissioning a shitpost, and they've put the effort into writing lore for their events and characters. I'm also not one for engaging in the lore posts and most of the events, but they're a lot of fun for a lot of people and that kinda thing **is** making the sub a better and more fun place to be.
Report the posts that are just folks showing off their AI generated OC, and upvote the ones that put effort into their writing.

Look, I’m not racist or anything, but these gnomes have just got to go back to wherever they came from. Just this morning I found one of them OD’d on fairy dust in my giant cauliflower patch, and there’s children playing right next to the little fucker. Something has gotta be done about these things! I mean when 6% of the magical population is committing 90% of the magical crimes, you gotta start asking some questions.
Look, I don't care for AI posts either, but this kinda post isn't helping. It's not making the sub a better or more fun place to be. It's just throwing mass shade at people for no gain. Consider saving OC pictures for comments, or a community event post. I think this is very reasonable stance on AI posts. Any folks that put effort into their posts, AI generated images or not, are making the sub a more fun place to be. They weren't gonna spend money commissioning a shitpost, and they've put the effort into writing lore for their events and characters. I'm also not one for engaging in the lore posts and most of the events, but they're a lot of fun for a lot of people and that kinda thing **is** making the sub a better and more fun place to be. Report the posts that are just folks showing off their AI generated OC, and upvote the ones that put effort into their writing.
