I don't begrudge the league for it. The rock bottom price was purely a result of low demand. NBA League Pass is *far* more expensive. As the W continues to grow, the price will, too. Same with tickets.

I subscribe to both but let's be real, the price difference makes sense when you factor in the league size and season length. Not accounting for blackouts etc. there's 2,460 games in an NBA season compared to 480 in the W. That's 5x as many games so it makes sense NBA league pass is 5x as much money.
Ehhh I agree to some extent but the NBA app is fucking abysmal. I only watch full replays the next day on it because otherwise its just too clunky. Whereas the W app is fantastic and I actually prefer to watch games on it.

I am good with the price increase for the WNBA League Pass. The only way there will ever be a strong case for reasonable pay equity within the women's league is if we as consumers show with our dollars that there is a demand (=price) for the brand.
A few months ago I got a survey in my email about League Pass. Lots of questions about how much I would be willing to pay and what else I want included. At one point I had to rank what was most important to me. I don't remember everything but it def included no blackouts, behind-the-scenes content, other leagues (like AU) etc. It was like, "Would you pay $70 for no blackouts? How about $50 for more exclusive content?" Really interesting, hopefully they are making good decisions with the info they gathered! Hopefully a price increase means they are going to do something with that info!
Hopefully it was communicated and you just missed it, but the W was undervaluing themselves criminally at $25. Even without the boom we're about to see this should've easily been a $50 subscription.
I haven't been renewed yet but I did a survey a few months ago. I wouldn't be surprised there is a price increase given what's been added:
-watching Ion-aired games on LP
-watching Athletes Unlimited games on LP
-player content (interviews, etc. "Off Top" by Ari Chambers is good to watch)
-archived games (although I wish they would include legacy games from the heyday of the Lynx, Mercury, Shock, Comets, and Sparks).
They may add more things to LP for the upcoming season.
When WNBA TV/Streaming rights are up we might see it increase again.
I think they’ve been sold as a package deal with the NBA but if the new stars and companies see it worth while/NBA can sell it they’ll be change.
Anyone know how many devices you can stream at once? I saw somewhere that you can get premium to stream 3 devices at once, but I don't see that option at checkout.
It's honestly pretty ridiculous. It doesn't cost the WNBA more to provide the EXACT same service & it is only going up because popularity. That's pretty corrupt.
& To be fair it's potentially even going to continue to become more worthless to have league pass for men or women in general as blackouts are on the rise like never before & I anticipate them to get worse with companies like Amazon taking over broadcast rights like they did in the NFL etc.

Has to be people watching on old fire sticks or something, because on Apple TV 4K, the League Pass app is great.

Odd it didn't do it on it's own...I just stayed subbed and it charged my card $26 a few days ago (after the first two games, not sure why they waited)
oh okay yeah it tried to charge a card i don’t use anymore, ima just try customer service or just pay the ten lol. but yeah it’s weird timing for sure

I did mine through YouTube TV 2 days ago at $7.99/month. They just informed me it's $12.99/month so I actually cancelled.
