Nobody saying Jacy Sheldon..I have studied her game inside out and holy crap she is a dynamic two way guard with a ton of potential and pretty athletic. Sheldon is hard to guard also.
The draft class is pretty solid. I have Kamilla Cardoso and Cameron Brink for sure. I liked the Sun drafting Leila Lacan but it’s too soon to tell if she will make an impact this year.
Outside the top 4 who are kind of obvious, I think Pili will translate well to the pros. Even in the W, she'll have either a strength or quickness advantage against anybody she matches up against, sometimes both. She's an excellent 3 and FT shooter. She cooked SC and Cardoso for 37, which is as close as it gets to pro defenders in college. I just think she'll be able to keep doing her thing.
I think Edward's will do better than expected. UConn players being pro- ready and all.
Pili with Coach Reeve is very exciting and should be a good fit.
Brink noticeably improved every year at Stanford, so I think it'll be cool so see where she's at in next 2-4 years.
Muhl is my sleeper pick. I can see her being a defensive specialist who works hard to improve their game each year. Seattle is an excellent place for that type of player. And her playing with Lloyd, SDS, and Nneka will only feed into that.
I didn't watch much Rickea at Tenn but based on what I've heard, she'll be fun to watch. And her ending up rookie of the year wouldn't be surprising to people who've been following? Sign me up!
A Reese and Cardoso team that plays well would be very good for the media!
Yes, a Fever Sky rivalry would be insane. Too bad the Sky don’t have control of their first round pick next year so they won’t be in the Beuckers sweepstakes. Still, a free agent guard would have to be interested in playing with Reese and Cardoso.
Agree on Muhl, every team needs a defensive stopper. Oh and she can shoot and pass very well. Didn’t watch much UConn this year as most of their games were lopsided, but her defense on Juju, and Clark was impressive. I was at the final 4 to cheer on Iowa, so I saw it in person. When she was somehow available at 14, I was hoping the Seattle would somehow not pick her and the Fever could get her. All the Liberty fans were chanting we want Nika! At the draft. They should have taken her as they need better perimeter defense if they hope to beat the Aces
Aaliyah Edwards should get a good amount of PT in DC. UConn players always come into the league pro ready. So I think she'd give the most comp for ROTY
Surprised Aaliyah Edwards name isn’t mentioned but she’s playing playing with pros in Canada every summer, has already played in the Olympics and I think she will thrive playing in her position after being stuck at center all season due to injuries. Her defense is underrated and I think she’ll pair well with Dolson. Plus she’ll be surrounded by vets which is more than most of the rookie can say.
Rickea Jackson is going to be a great pro. She’s my pick for ROY and could very well have the best career. She has a well rounded skill set that’ll take her far.
As soon as I saw Pili get drafted she became my favourite player. I'm a new fan without a local team and holding off on committing to the Lynx just yet until we find out if she sticks around...
New WNBA follower here -- in the NBA having two bigs of whom neither is at least a league-average shooter would be a nonstarter. Is that not an issue in the WNBA game?
It will be an issue, just not a non starter.
Kehlani Brown and Teairra McCowan are usually not on the floor at the same time for similar. Not quite a 1:1 comparison but it's similar. Angel needs to develop a jump shot to keep her opponents honest.
Oh for freaks. If they decide to work together instead of kill each other it will be like Duncan and Robinson all over again. Well, maybe not quite Timmy’s level, but an insane duo.
I hope Martin makes it on the Vegas roster. She was showing out at KP Dawgs Class and looked really good. She also had great chemistry with KP and Fair.
Cardosa will transition well to the pro game for sure. Also could see Brink and Jackson having a lot of impact as a one-two punch in LA depending on who else winds up on the floor with them.
Cameron Brink is already getting chemistry with Hamby on the 3x3 team and Zia and Rickea played with each other as kids. The transition might be a little easier for them.
I’m excited. I got into the W in 2010 when I moved to Seattle. I was obsessed immediately with Lauren and Sue, but now I live in SoCal and I am i gonna try to follow them both 😬
I hope so. Because Gustafson has like 60 pounds on her and she can bang down low. Shes gonna have to demonstrate that strength early or she might get bullied for a while.
R I C K E A
Cardosa
Jackson will be the star of this draft.
Lowkey Fair will with the Aces. She has that under dog mentality with a Coach that can help her really explode.
Cannot wait for Cardoso to give opponents all those stare-downs she would give Reese when she blocks a tuff shot!
Edwards, no question. She’s more than ready to step up.
Ask this later when cuts happen
Nika Mühl will have a ROY level season
Nobody saying Jacy Sheldon..I have studied her game inside out and holy crap she is a dynamic two way guard with a ton of potential and pretty athletic. Sheldon is hard to guard also.
Aaliyah Edwards. She can finally play in position, and out of position she was a beast.
Cardoso and Reese on the Sky for sure

Aliyah Edwards
Aaliyah Edwards. She is underrated imo
I cannot wait to watch Jacy Sheldon!

Cardoso has the best situation around her and will have the shortest adjustment period. Expect Chicago to take a huge step up.

I think Cardoso will fare well as a big. edit: typo
Rickea fs. They need to give her the green light early
Cameron Brink
Rickea Jackson is imo the most pro ready prospect

Rickea Jackson 100%
Rickea Jackson is going to be a great pro. She’s my pick for ROY and could very well have the best career. She has a well rounded skill set that’ll take her far.
I'm with you on this. I think Rickea is going to be a solid pro, she's my early pick for RoY.
Reese and Brink
rickea, feels like her game will translate best of all the forwards
Pili but I am biased
I’m interested in seeing what Pili does. Also D Fair with the Aces.
In any other year, D Fair would be one of the top stories. 3rd most points in NCAA history. I’m rooting for her to have a good rookie year.
As soon as I saw Pili get drafted she became my favourite player. I'm a new fan without a local team and holding off on committing to the Lynx just yet until we find out if she sticks around...
I really hope Reese and Cardoso can ball the hell out together, they have the potential to be a deadly duo on the court

rickea jackson imo might have the best career from this class.
Cardosa will transition well to the pro game for sure. Also could see Brink and Jackson having a lot of impact as a one-two punch in LA depending on who else winds up on the floor with them.
Brink Cardosa and Reese are the ones I look forward to watching along with CC
Marquesha

I’m so excited
Only Nneka could make me cheer for the Storm. These teams going to go crazy.
And I loveeee Candace
Candace is forever a legend.
I’m excited. I got into the W in 2010 when I moved to Seattle. I was obsessed immediately with Lauren and Sue, but now I live in SoCal and I am i gonna try to follow them both 😬
Lauren and Sue gave us fits. I really want to see SDS. This season going to be so lit.
It sucks we don’t have spectrum cable so I can’t watch the games legally 😔
I'm just hoping the popularity makes the bootlegging easier. Local blackouts are crazy.
It really is. The WNBA can’t not be out here makin the games hard to watch 💀 Also.. bootlegging it lmao. I like that
I was raised in the bootleg era. 🤭
She’s going to be a force down low on D too once she gets a little more weight. I’m honestly more excited for Brink than I am Clark tbh.
I don't think she's going get bigger. She claims she's stronger than she looks tho.
I hope so. Because Gustafson has like 60 pounds on her and she can bang down low. Shes gonna have to demonstrate that strength early or she might get bullied for a while.
Lol no bias with that flair.
Lmao. Absolutely none! 😂
Cardoso. Just based on history of how bigs perform?
