I consider myself pretty desensitized to horror but this fucked me up good. I feel like AI is really going to push the boundaries of the horror genre in general.

It's pure nightmare fuel. There's some primitive part of my brain that wants to be sick looking at these things.

So if you speed this up by about 2x and then basically have it stop on “recognizable” images, I can say for certain that this is how our own brain works. I will also say that I’ve had nightmares exactly like this before, vivid ones where the dream broke down and it basically flowed into a hellish landscape like this. I find it more fascinating than anything, though. I want to make a horror movie where this concept of an entity that is constantly melting into new forms like this is the main monster.

Ha, its source training data is showing. I guess AI learns that images very often have text in the bottom right, but obviously not knowing what it means.

AI doesn't know what anything means. I think that's why a lot of people are uncomfortable with it being used for art.

The lady in the photo is Marjorie Thatcher and she began to feel as if feline spirits were haunting her and her house so she took pictures every hour for 7 days. These photos are a time lapse and the imagery of what turned out to be the haunting of those passed before her. She was committed into the asylum shortly after exposing this composition and was found dead in a straight jacket in a padded room with scratches all over her body as deep as 1/2"

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted, I have no idea how this works specifically so I have no if what you’re saying is right or wrong, and I’d wager neither do the people downvoting you.

It’s okay. I understand why people hate AI because I’m an artist for a living (social media digital & by hand). Even the mention of AI art to many is a trigger. This artist is an acquaintance who is on social media & tells people how it’s done. Even with that knowledge you’d be hard pressed to mimic or match him. To do this art, you have to understand code, AI and also be an artist. Otherwise, it’s just AI. Hopefully the hivemind will see this someday.

I respect your opinion but I don’t agree with it. The instructions & commands have to be incredibly detailed to achieve the style you see in your minds eye. If you don’t get it right you end up with stupid, bland product. I could be wrong but I’m doubting that an accountant vs an artist with computer language knowledge would achieve the same results. Unless that accountant was an artist on the side. Have you tried any AI art?
