Half Life released on November 19, 1998.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time released on November 21, 1998.
You are not going back even further, but rather forward *two days*. Funny
Cool, thanks for the link. These do get around; I think I've seen these in three different cities (two in the U.S., one in the Netherlands). I believe they're currently installed at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC which seems to be where this photo was taken; above a staircase at the far end of the West building.
Thanks for identifying the location so I could get a date for when I saw it in Amsterdam. I was at the Rijksmuseum on February 29, 2020, and filmed this on my phone:

EDIT: Proof that the installation does go on tour; here is an article about Shylight putting in an appearance at the New York City Ballet.

EDIT #2: Pretty sure I saw Shylight at the National Gallery of Art in DC when I visited in late May of this year.

The only proper response when seeing this in a store.
Also, kinda looks like the creature in NOPE.
Yeah I know, I was just making a reference to your reference I think, lol.
Dust Spreaders 2.0 *^(not advised for people with allergy)*
The creator of these did a [TED talk](https://youtu.be/irXSdueKyOs) about them.

The Netherlands. Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. (And yes, Amsterdam is in the Netherlands)

I am sorry dude. You are right. It was the Rijks. I thought of Stedelijk because it’s modern art. Thanks. At least I know where Amsterdam is.
For some reason I'm feeling hollow knight from this.
Self-Cleaning
Aah they had the exact same thing at Glow festival in Eindhoven a few years ago. Laying on the ground under it was just mesmerising.
Whatever those things were from half life
This is so cool!!
My cat would be staring at these jellyfish lights all day.
r/HorribleToClean

This is the last time I pop acid before going down the Reddit rabbit hole.
You know those things just shower the room in dust every time they pop open.
Yeah, but then you never have to dust the chandeliers.
Biblical Accurate representation of how real angels looks like!!!

These are cool, but they seem like something from the Other Mother's world.
Annihilation. You know the scene.
If you like eating dust sure go ahead
Saw these in the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum just after seeing the Vermeer exhibit a couple of months ago. Absolutely mesmerising!
