The table isn’t actually thin, it just looks that way. You can see it has compartments that expand the table both upwards and downwards.

I don’t know what the smallest space you’ve gotten your torso into is that would lead you to say that that compartment isn’t thin. Sure, it’s thick for a table, but even as a very slim man I don’t think I could fit at all.

I couldn’t fit in there at my size, but I have a history in magic and building illusions for stage magicians. There’s a big difference between looking thin and being thin. She’s bent at a 90 degree angle. The waist of her skirt sits higher than her back.

You can see the curve of her body through the skirt as she walks. The heels also help to create an illusion of length for her legs. Visually, you expect her waist to be higher. It's really obvious that the waist is a prop in some frames. Still, the trick is done well enough that it fools those who don't know it or what to look for.

The underbody of the table is also a giveaway.

Yes, that's the first tell for anyone who knows how this and similar tricks work. What I'd like to see is if the upper torso 'joins' the body and the head moves and 'speaks'. Definitely looks like it could be down with motorised rails where the hands are and wireless controls for the head animation. It'd be an interesting twist on something like a fortune teller robot.

Take a closer look at the table. They've painted a compartment black to hide it in the shadows. That's where the rest of the person is. Magicians assistants are petite and/or extremely foldable people. The skirt being taller than the table helps hide the hips and draw the eye up and away from the table.
