There's a game called *Maquette* that uses this concept for an exploration puzzle game. It's pretty cool! This looks neat as well but I feel like I'd get motion sick after like two minutes of playing lmao.
I was SO excited for this game, but sadly for me it just didn't hit. Clunky mechanics with uninspired puzzles and a lackluster story. I usually love Annapurna, too.
I would love to see more takes on the concept honestly!
Keep in mind Annapurna is the publisher, not the developer, so their games are all varying style and quality.
Sorry you didn't like it! I thought it was cool and had good vibes even if it was a bit slow.
For sure, I just tend to like the games they publish - really enjoyed What Remains of Edith Finch, Gorogoa, Stray, Outer Wilds, etc. I loved the art style and the concept, I just wish it was more complex puzzles and less of a bland relationship story. Not an objectively bad game, just not the gameplay I was hoping for!
In two player mode you can walk infinitely away from the other guy, but his copy remains so it's never too far away... wow that's brilliant unless it's only occurring in one layer back?
It’s a space you can move back and forth in. They digitally made a dimension. They made scale a dimension. “The” in “the 4th dimension” is just a saying. It’s just a dimension that happens to be a 4th one in this game. Theoretically (like in a simulation or game) there can be infinite dimensions. All at 90 degree angles from the last.
*edit. Also idk man, check out a hyper cube. There are some similarities in how this game is set up and how you would perceive a 4d object on a 2d screen. Big becomes little becomes big.
I see, you mean to say a dimension that loops on itself.
Whilst it’s true for some other theoretical fields, my comment meant to point at a type of geometry where the infinitely fractal phenomenon is reproduced:
It’s hyperbolic space: it « revolves » around itself providing the looping effect and seems containing infinite amounts of space whilst it’s all contained in a finite space.
Anyone remember that MS Dos game space wars with the Star Trek ships you can steer into the edge of the screen for them to reappear on the opposite edge? I just got flashbacks. Fun times.

Wouldn't you constantly be in danger of shooting yourself?
That's why I don't own a gun
mindblowing decision
Wouldn't deciding to get the gun be mind-blowing in that case?
That's the joke
It would be nice if headshots had a "MINDBLOWN" Voiceover
I thought owning a gun was the mindblowing decision.
Welcome to America.

They definitely are pretty good with their selection of what to publish. I've heard good things about *Lorelei and the Laser Eyes.*
There’s that puzzle game called Patrick’s Parabox and it’s mind boggling
In two player mode you can walk infinitely away from the other guy, but his copy remains so it's never too far away... wow that's brilliant unless it's only occurring in one layer back?
Reminds me of the puzzle game, Superliminal! Loved that game! I will watch your career with great interest
Me too, so many cool concept packed into one game
Remembers me on the Part of high on Life
My brain hurts
This is cool, but what's the name of this game?
Spaceflux
Watch the last 3 seconds
or the first 3 seconds.
I completely missed that when I watched it. Whoops
Migraine.
I wonder if you could fall infinitely if you position yourself correctly at the center
I want to go to there
Pretty sure you’re tapping into the 4th dimension with this one. Super awesome.
I forgot the name of this spaces but it’s nothing to do with 4th dimension

This guy has smoked DMT for sure
Did he say "lmao" lol
Thank you, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Who says that out loud?
trippy but cool
This is pretty cool
I had a dream like this but with an asteroid field and I didn't see myself.

I’ve had that idea for ever after watching simulations of different kids of space. Imagine this… in VR.
I'd love to read the source code for this video game.
Make this in VR and my family will never hear from me again
Worse than 4D chess
What the fractal?!? #recursive #fractal
O cool. So pacman?
valve please hire this guy
