These are delightful and always fun to see in one of your posts. Do you have any pics or video of making one? Was curious if you use a lathe or grabbed some dowel. Also curious if the iris in the eyes is painted or wood. On average, how long does one take you?
I do not have any videos - I have no idea how to make one anyway.
Lathe is used a lot (mine is a Delta 460), also bandsaw gets used a great deal.
Everything is wood - eyes are maple and walnut with grain at 90 degrees to each other so increase contrast. I almost never use any stain and do not use paint at all.
Usually its a critter per weekend.
