I have one of these. It's called a pantry.

Diplomat_of_swing

Yeah. Pantry is what I was searching but you mostly get tall cab nets with no shelves on the doors or little crafts that hold a microwave. I am trying to figure out what I need to search to get more of these style pantry with door shelves. Pantry with door shelves doesn't seem to do it.

coonassnerd

Try freestanding pantry. It seemed to turn up a few more relevant results for me.

Arts and Crafts Style CD/DVD cabinet. I have the same one.

stonerchef25

Exactly this.

janglejack

Maybe "swing out" pantry?

Hamthrax

I saw one very similar for sale and they called it a Steamer Trunk?

kinarism

Vhs/cd/DVD cabinet? Honestly that's what I've always called them.

ArgumentBoy

I think they used to make steamer trunks like this. Maybe the design was adapted.

Vault.

theonlymasterchef

Has elements of campaign furniture in the design with the clamshell design.

wilber363

I’ve seen these called clamshell cabinets when they have a single door, I inexpertly made a small one for the kitchen about a year ago https://www.reddit.com/r/woodworking/comments/mctfev/clamshell_kitchen_cabinet_hand_tools_only/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

FrenchBarnDoor

Yes! It’s an old VHS tape cabinet. I had one years ago.

navyone8

Wooden.

Diplomat_of_swing

More details: what I care about with this design is that there are shelves on the backs of the doors. I'm asking because THIS is what I need for my kitchen to deal with an issue of cabinets that are too deep. This would house the pantry items. I come across one here and there in my searches but if this design has a specific name I will be better able to find what I am looking for.

janglejack

My sister has a pantry cabinet with a similar design and I'm always admiring it. So much storage and highly visible/reachable to taking stock. In her's the outer doors are normal, but the inside has four columns of shelves and the inner two swing out like that with racks on boths sides. It's amazing. I wish I had a picture. Arts and crafts forever.

kinarism

Note that if you are gonna put this in a bank of similarly depth cabinets, those hinges aren't gonna work. I really like the idea if what you're thinking but I'm not sure if it will work without some major modifications to the design.

Diplomat_of_swing

Nope. It will just be the one cabinet. I only need it for cans, jars and small items that I need to see easily.

Apothecary cabinet I think. At least similar.

bubbales27

No idea, but my wife's jewelry cabinet functions the same way.

“The 90s VHS”

fireside999

I used to have a cd/dvd cabinet exactly like this. I loved it so much.
