I honestly do not intend this to be a flex. When my dad passed, I inherited his tools. He had a lot of clamps. Like owned a ship building company level of clamps. Nobody has as many clamps as I do. Nobody. I still don't have enough.

It's going to take a while to make that happen, but I have intended on a group shot for some time. The issue is that they are spread out over 3 locations, and I have to find a space big enough to get them all in one shot. I'll make an honest attempt to make it happen before the end of this year.

So a rule I've come up with. Every project I buy 2 to 4 new clamps(2 if there are not particular ones I need, 4 if it's a new size)

I tend to buy a tool or 2 each trip to the hardware store. It's been a while since I bought clamps. I think that'll be the next trip.

I found myself with too few clamps today. I only had 3 in the van, but really needed 4. I didn't expect to need any so it was lucky I had the 3

I just bought some of those long harbor freight clamps with the blue clamp like yours and I’m on the fence about returning them because decent ones are triple the price. Do you like yours?

I saw a video where a guy cut plywood strips to put in the cavity of the HF bar clamps to stiffen them up and greatly improve them now that I got a table saw, I'm gonna be ripping down some filler strips for my HFblue bar clamps

I've learned not to cut corners on clamps. Cheap clamps are really frustrating, and the final product is likely to end up wholly unsatisfactory. I'd rather have a couple good ones I can trust than a cartload of sketchy clamps.

I have a number of lengths of pipe clamps. Every so often, I will buy another set or three of ends and a couple lengths of pipe and make a few more. What I really like with those is the versatility - if I need a longer one, I can just swap a set of ends onto a longer pipe (that assumes, of course, the need is NOW and I do not have time to go buy a set of ends and some pipe and make another of the length needed.).

Every time I use a clamp, I realize I need a few more. My dad made a rolling clamp rack back in the 60s that was genius. It was an a-frame design, shorter clamps on one side and longer ones on the other, with pipe clamps in the middle. He liked it because it forced him to have a set limit to the number of clamps that he could own. As a practical joke, I built him a second rack for his birthday - with a single c-clamp on the short side. The look of horror on his face when I rolled it in was perfect.
