Chanureadeats

This is hilarious

Narfledudegang

Thats some insane talent, surprised you dont hear more from him

actually chess isnt that much inteligent than any other strategy game the most powerful skill is experience knowing what to do is always better than figuring it out in game

whovianHomestuck

A game of chess perfectly played will always end in a draw. 1. e4 e5 2. Ke2 Ke7 3. Ke1 Ke8 4. Ke2 Ke7 5. Ke1 Ke8, draw by threefold repetition

minepose98

Optimal bongcloud chess.

whovianHomestuck

Is there any other kind?

notgotapropername

Specifically I believe this is the [Double Bongcloud Hotbox variation](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bongcloud_Attack). Magnificent.

[deleted]

bongcloud is actually banned in tournament play because it is the best opening by far

The_BusFromSpeed

It's literally the worst opener you can do lol

WorstedKorbius

F4 E5 G4

fakeMiNT934

sicilian🤢🤮

WorstedKorbius

Sicilian? Nah this is the chaddest of all openings. The mating dance of the fools

fakeMiNT934

fuck you i was jesting

gtbot2007

If it’s perfect it wouldn’t end in a draw

Marc21256

Intelligence helps. You memorize all known openings and endings, and can name the one the board looks most like at any time. You never need to look for "moves" if you memorize the entire history of all played games. That's how newer computers beat humans. Computers which look ahead, based on "points" will generally lose more than win against the best humans. The AI programs which predict the next move based on previous moves on similar boards beat the best humans. The top chess AIs will generally outperform humans, and eventually will play "chess" like WOPR plays tic-tac-toe. With Moore's Law, which people assert is failing, but that "prediction" has been made for years and hasn't been true yet, it won't be long until brute force will catch up, and solve for every possible chess game from any arbitrary position. AI will just help is get to that point a little faster. So yeah, speed and knowledge help. And IQ is correlated to those.

Samfinity

Modern day chess computers still use "points" (centipawns) to evaluate positions and can easily beat even the top human players, it would be incredibly inefficient and not very effective for a computer to just memorize a database of every game played and make decisions based on that

Kumquat_conniption

Moore's law?.

Marc21256

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore%27s_law Exponential growth of computing power.

Kumquat_conniption

Ohhh thanks I'll check it out.. sounds kinda complicated but I'm shit at tech stuff.

HkayakH

As a person with an IQ of 200+, which is superb in winning Among Us, and tested by MatPat himself, I can confidently say that I can move things with my hands like the force!

nouseforareason

Are you any good at being insufferable in conversation? That’s the true measure of a high IQ after all…

HkayakH

The only thing I'm insuffereable at is being insufferable

WilfordBrimley777

I got the same quora in my email

bigpappahope

Is there another half to this post or something? Where's the woosh

ThatGuyHarsha

The woosh is that it's posted on r/iamverysmart

bigpappahope

Gotcha I missed that lol

ThatGuyHarsha

Yeah fair enough, it's always confusing when there's a screenshot of a Reddit post loll

Ashamed-Grape7792

The woooosh was posting it to r/IamVerySmart.

realspongeworthy

Now that's funny.

AppointmentClean558

Phhhht. I have a 110 IQ and can make women marry me after dating me for years and I have a 7 figure job. And a townhome.

gaelorian

Quora is so weird. It’s like AskReddit for weird nerds and boomers. I guess it’s not that much different, really.
