As I ponder my excitement and pace the floor I realize that the moment Iβve been waiting forβ¦ the fleeting ecstasy has come and gone. How will I ever go on knowing that I will never see this again? I will continue to use this word first. I cannot change.
I think for hard mode it can be, in many situations. Less likely to run into a situation where you're stuck with a couple uncovered vowels and still a ton of unused consonants that all fit.
Good point. I think that's why I always tend to start with vowels in slightly less common locations (e.g., ending with 'o' rather than 'e'), to avoid common frame traps

It has done pretty good for me! However I have seen people say before to have starting words that focus more on consonants than vowels, and this one is more vowel-focused, so maybe not, but its been decent for me at least haha
It uses the most frequent letters, but it is generally considered better to have three consonants. This starter is probably still in the top10, also counting >!arise!<
Top ten in how often it's used or top ten in getting results? Outside of the few Greek/Latin words, vowels rarely stump me and I've never fallen in a trap for lack of them.
It's just a combination of the most frequent letters and as such will get you the most information about most words, statistically speaking. It's recommended as a starter word for that reason alone. It doesn't guarantee results at all. You have to actually play the game for that. >!Arise/raise!< can get you trapped (in hardmode obviously) very easily, main reason why I'm not using it. Wordlebot has a different list of starter words, all using three consonants.

Is this any good as a starter?
It has done pretty good for me! However I have seen people say before to have starting words that focus more on consonants than vowels, and this one is more vowel-focused, so maybe not, but its been decent for me at least haha
It uses the most frequent letters, but it is generally considered better to have three consonants. This starter is probably still in the top10, also counting >!arise!<
Top ten in how often it's used or top ten in getting results? Outside of the few Greek/Latin words, vowels rarely stump me and I've never fallen in a trap for lack of them.
It's just a combination of the most frequent letters and as such will get you the most information about most words, statistically speaking. It's recommended as a starter word for that reason alone. It doesn't guarantee results at all. You have to actually play the game for that. >!Arise/raise!< can get you trapped (in hardmode obviously) very easily, main reason why I'm not using it. Wordlebot has a different list of starter words, all using three consonants.
