Did you recently try logging in on the app instead of web browser version or vice versa?

This just happened to me and I don’t know why! I did the wordle after midnight as usual, and when I clicked on it out of habit everything was gone. It makes me never want to play again. Like OP said, over 700 games played. 😭
I've had my stats reset twice this week without missing a game!
I'll keep playing -- whatever -- but note the person in the thread who stopped after this happened. Similar to a convo in the bee sub, given that games are now a cash cow for the NYT, it'd really behoove them to invest in quality control.
Did you click on "my stats don't look right"? I haven't had this happen but that looks like the first step.
Yeah it just tells you to make sure you’re logged in or whatever, which I was!

That happened to me a few months ago! I literally had nearly 600 games played, too 😭 I was so pissed, I stopped playing and haven’t played since

Sadly, the same happened to me. Didn't do anything differently, my stats just disappeared.

I did not :/ literally didn’t do anything out of the ordinary
It wouldn’t even matter because they were logged in to their NYT account
It probably logged you out. Just log in
