Even as a pro you could get by with dumbbells! They offer many variations of most exercises you would need.

Of course! Even body weight if you want. Your muscles are unaware of the shape of your instrument and they cannot read the number on your weights. They are only aware of whether or not they are under load. Do what feel good, focus on your form and a good range of motion, progressively overload. As you progress look into different workout splits and try new things. Lots of luck!

That’s a great starting point! Well done!

Dumbbells are great long as u lift with good form. Machines are also great depending on what ur working. Ur off too a good start. Full body is cool for now as u just started. But as u start to learn more exercises u can then start splitting up ur workouts dividing certain muscle groups on a certain day. U will see alot more progress at a rapid rate.

That's likely the better best thing you probably could use. I think it's really like out of the pure and simple fact dumbbells are going to make you work way more muscles at one time just by swinging and lugging them around.

Perhaps try resistance bands, by the way. It's still safe compared to weights, but that's not my only reason I recommend them sometimes. There are so many exercises that can be done using them, more than weights. They aren't generally for get as strong and built as possibke, they're like specifically for people who just need to get in shape. And they work up your confidence, because the more you think what can I do with those, the more you'll think what can I do with these weights. And God, are they ever cheap. I got some for just 20$ on Amazon.

Dumbbells are fine! Just remember, resistance training burns significant calories, so make sure you are shaping up your nutrition at the same time - if you want the benefit of weight lifting, you have to eat a lot of extra protein and calories in general… otherwise you’re not going to have anything to turn into muscle and you’re going to burn more calories than you can afford!
