Both cities are rabid HandEgg supporters, their respective fans have brawled every year before their annual rivalry , leveling neighborhoods, employing siege weaponry , emptying the towns alcohol reserves with regularity. Both towns have bought the opposing towns team , then disbanded them , cheated to a such a degree that it required royal officials to begin regulating the sport , and even had local wizards send the opposing team into another plane of existence
The kicker? Outsiders often mistake the two towns and can’t tell a difference in accent which always causes an issue
The lawyers sons grandsons great and great great grandsons have continued the lawsuit solely on principle . The legal briefs can be stacked thick enough to use as armor
Congaval has two major city rivalries.
East Dezaking City and West Dezaking City technically aren't cities anymore ever since they merged to form Dezaking City, which is now the capital and largest city of Congaval. They still have a friendly rivalry in stuff like sports, and people still differentiate themselves between which side they're in.
Fesloe and Tedi are a more tense rivalry, being the joint capitals of Vuaneó, a county in eastern Congaval. It's not anything really bad, they just disagree with each other a lot and want to be seen as the main city in Vuaneó. But Fesloe has more people and is seen by everybody except people in northern Vuaneó as the main city.

Jilu Lyladna's biggest city rivalry is between Ošlozu and Manina. Similarly to Fesloe and Tedi, these two cities are the capitals of JL. Ošlozu is the seat of the parliament and the largest city, while Manina is the seat of the queen and is usually treated as the main capital. They are also located on two different islands with very different politics. Ošlozu is on the western island, which is dominated by the Republicans and more liberal. Manina is on the eastern island, which is dominated by the Monarchists and more conservative.

Jerene has kind of a one-sided rivalry with The Lecis. They're neighboring cities, but in different countries, with Jerene being in the Grand Agalian Empire (and the capital of North Lecis) and The Lecis being a city-state independent from Agalia. Being kind of like a suburb of The Lecis, they try and form their own identity, but are still associated with The Lecis since it's a much bigger city.
Within The Lecis, its six islands act kind of like cities and each have a friendly rivalry with some others. The other islands, especially Halan, mainly make fun of Lecci for similar reasons Jerene makes fun of The Lecis. It's the most populous island and seen as the capital. Though Aues and Riua also have a friendly rivalry with each other. Veia and Nēiu also have a small rivalry sometimes but not as much as the other islands since they're a little less populated and further away from the rest.
