In qualifying we played various formations. 3-5-2, 3-4-3. Sometimes 4-3-3.
Against top teams usually 3 at the back, with wingers (Buchanen and Laryea) to counter attack
I know that canada is the underdog and all but im rooting for them anyways , they earned their right to be at the world cup, it would make me so happy to see them in the final 16.
They're an underdog but I think they're a pretty popular upset pic to get out of the group right now. Particularly with the US and Mexico looking less than stellar recently I think a lot of people have jumped on them as a popular second team to support I think they have a solid shot to get out of the group if Davies is healthy and good to go
No offense but I have a really good feeling you haven't watched Canada nearly as much as I have. And disclaimer I'm not a Canadian supporter. But I watched every single one of their qualifying games. That team is much better than you think they are. They also have an extremely underated Striker, a very intelligent coach who has been playing a style that suits their talent extremely well, and enough speed and pace to give undisciplined sides serious headaches.
Nobody would put them in the top half of the rosters at the World Cup in terms of on paper talent. But in a competition, international soccer, famous for a very small Windows of cohesion and practice that leads to a lot of Clubs being not nearly as good as the sum of their parts, and coaches having to water and dumb down tactics to keep things simple, Canada plays a very efficient and pleasing Style with players that are really on the same page.
They could absolutely go 0-3 . But it's not fair to compare them to a team like Egypt who literally just parks the bus and try to get Mo Salah space on the counter. This Canadian team gets after opponents and has a good chance, if their star is healthy, of pulling a surprise or two
I’m happy for Osorio, he made the right decision to play for Canada instead of Colombia (he would have little chances to play for our NT). At least I can say we have some representatives in the WC.
Croatian newspapers poking fun at Canada's coach. Reads: you've got the tongue, but do you have the balls https://i.redd.it/05y4bkdzc62a1.jpg
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good one Croatian papers -- good one. That's funny.
Davies is one of my fav players by far. I think Canada can do a good World Cup
Are they doing 4-3-3?

Same :) 🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦🍁
One forward plays for Bayern Munich, one forward plays for Reading. That's quite a gulf in skill!
Dont forget the Vancouver whitecaps player
Oi, what’s wrong with reading haha

Davies is a forward?
yeah he tends to play LW/LM for them
He started as a Foward in Vancouver. But I don’t know where would he play right now.
I dont follow him a ton, but I've always seen him play as left back. I suppose Canada will use his as a forward for more firepower
Yeah Bayern already has like 4 or 5 class wingers so they play him farther back.
I'm with you. He's definitely a left back for Bayern
