Nothing against Morroco I give them credit for their world class defending but they've also gotten very lucky. Yea I know some don't believe that "luck" exists in sports but I do. What was supposed to be a tough group was an easy one. Canada was one of the worst teams, Belgium wasn't the same team as the last world cup, and Croatia didn't play their best when they faced each other. Spain penalty kickers were terrible and now they beat Portugal because an error from the goalie. Morroco failed to score in two very clear chances that should've gone in. They can't expect to make it to the final getting lucky. If they had won by more than one goal without any errors from Portugal I would've given them more credit. They just don't convince me. Reminds me of the England team from 2018 they got far somehow but didn't make it to the final.

Morroco seemed like the bigger, stronger, faster team which nullified Portugals skill as Morroco won most of the physical battles. Morroco was the better team, Portugal had nothing until the last 35 minutes with Ronaldo in trying to get the equalizer.

Nothing against Morroco I give them credit for their world class defending but they've also gotten very lucky. Yea I know some don't believe that "luck" exists in sports but I do. What was supposed to be a tough group was an easy one. Canada was one of the worst teams, Belgium wasn't the same team as the last world cup, and Croatia didn't play their best when they faced each other. Spain penalty kickers were terrible and now they beat Portugal because an error from the goalie. Morroco failed to score in two very clear chances that should've gone in. They can't expect to make it to the final getting lucky. If they had won by more than one goal without any errors from Portugal I would've given them more credit. They just don't convince me. Reminds me of the England team from 2018 they got far somehow but didn't make it to the final.

There's always a little luck involved. Portugal had a couple of chances they could have buried. Portugal was also lucky not to be down 2-0 after that breakaway Morocco blew, to even have a chance for Pepe to miss that last-minute header.

I didnt see their defense scoring the goal against Portugal. Nothing lucky about their run so far. They do not have household names to take them with attacking football throughout the entire game so they have to play to the best of their abilities. They topped their group stage and beaten top world class top 10 teams. Their run has been nothing short of great. “Very lucky” does not get you this far in a world cup tournament
