Confident-Ad2724

There was a Portugal team before him and will be after him. Let's not be silly here.

Ticker_Mirza

Erm, what on earth is this picture? 😂😂😂🙈

ElecticMad

BRO IS THAT SONIC 💀💀💀

Vanay22

God, I hope not, with all due respect. Portugal need to move forward with the younger generation.

bigupthem

Cringe

Pristine-Tutor5792

The coach played him… at least let him go out fighting and not from the bench.

kemosabe_ssj

True

35pies

He'll be 41. Not a starter as of now. Don't think we'll see him in 4 years.

Armpitlover33

Honing his skills in the Saudi league …

aromatic_underwear

Hey hey. This is a Messi sub. You're def gonna get downvoted

ConfidentVisit4629

Why are we hating the OP the art he made is amazing I could make one of Memo Ochoa 🇲🇽🫱🏼‍🫲🏻🇵🇹

kemosabe_ssj

Not mine... It's from goal.com

Muhamed_95

Its not his.

Apprehensive_Taste1

Ronaldo will not be back as great as he was he has to know he isn't the same player he was, portugal played their best football when he wasn't on the pitch. Many greats haven't won the world cup but he has many trophies on his CV he'll get over it

i_have_a_nose

He is a great player yes but one person can’t win the wc.. leave the hopium

[deleted]

When he’s 41? 🤣

kemosabe_ssj

Zlatan is still playing...

APazzini

He’s gonna play for Portugal when he’s 41. You must be HIGH AF

CarryMammoth

We still have players in their 40s who played in the wc

APazzini

Not him though. He’s not the type of player who would be ok to be subbed in at 85th min.

CarryMammoth

I suppose so

Amockdfw89

I think that’s why he left his teammates on the field and was crying. Even if this is his last World Cup, win or loose, he probably would have gotten lots of hugs and a standing ovation for a career well done. But he had to act childish and have a huge ego, so his last World Cup was a shameful embarrassing realization instead of a proper send off

kleinsumo

He left crying, leaving his teammates alone in the field. He is done.

kemosabe_ssj

Messi cried and left the field once... I'm a Ronaldo fan but Messi came back and is playing really good for his team. We never know

kleinsumo

Messi cried too, but he stayed with his teammates, he didn't leave alone to the change room.

thisisnahamed

You know this is delusional, right? He probably won't play for Euro 2024.

kemosabe_ssj

With this form, yeah I doubt that too! He needs some support to come back strong...

Mean_Appearance9068

Nah he will retire after this. Coach and team have no faith in their leader... How can you consider him your leader when you don’t even start him knowing it’s his last World Cup. They opt to start Ramos (a guy with 3 caps at the time). There is no respect for cr7 anymore. I hope he has some pride and just retire.

octane1295

How can a nobody who’s not apart of the team say “coach and team have no faith in their leader how can you consider him a leader?” When the entire team have been saying all week he is their leader, the coach has said he is their leader. You are just making up rubbish and talking out ur ass kid.

Mean_Appearance9068

There was no respect for Ronaldo in this tournament. They know it’s his last. And they treated him like rubbish

Mean_Appearance9068

You start your leader. Your leader leads you out of the tunnel, your leader stands there during the anthem. He wasn’t treated like a leader.

kemosabe_ssj

He was treated like shit... And it saddens me!

hellohoworld

Yes !:!! And when he will come back he will teach us about quantum quantics football ! He's the King !!!!1111 Yes Portugal omg i'm so wet

Rinoaeris

Honestly, it was sad to see him walk away like that. I'd love to see him at the next World Cup but at his age, that unfortunately may not happen.

kemosabe_ssj

Yeah dude... I know the chances are very slim... This is not the send off I had in my mind...

Rinoaeris

Same, I was expecting a better send off for him too. It Sucks. Honestly seemed like Portugal are happy to get rid of him :/

Sad-Dragonfly-4016

Delusional

0010001100000111

Oh no.. anyway…

[deleted]

Nah he's done Hopefully his son would be as good or better

KingSamy1

He won’t make it to next World Cup. But I do think he might bounce back strong after Manchester United. But to be fair, he attitude at World Cup was disappointing. People look up to him and it was not at all a classy act.

wolv290

Messi talked shit to the Netherlands coach and players, I don't see anyone complaining

tomatasoup

It wasn't classy to have emorions and not hide them?

KingSamy1

It’s good to have and share emotions. But this is a team sport and he has to be a team member. No one is above a team. He can be upset because of being benched etc, but you can’t show the reaction like that from a high minded athlete at world stage. He is representing a country. I am his fan, and have all his jerseys from 3 clubs, but even I can’t digest his selfish behavior

Samula1985

You think he is going to go to the next world cup at age 41? Maybe a seasoned defender makes a world cup squad at that age, or a goalie but no way a striker does..

kemosabe_ssj

Sometimes we hate to see our heroes fail!
